Keeping compatibility between all 3 platforms was very challenging, especially since Apple would take a lot longer than other platforms to approve updates. Steam is instant (I love Steam).
Google Chrome runs the WebGL version of the game. It's still built in Unity but WebGL doesn't require you to download a webplayer, it should just run. Chrome officially supports WebGL so it should work.
What happens when you try to run this WebGL version of the game on Google Chrome?
The WebGL version can sometimes take awhile to load (needs to download the full uncompressed file which can take some time).
