It's similar to falling sand / the powder toy if you've ever played either

I am a freelance developer that recently tried his hand at making a small Android puzzle game. Pixel Match is an easy to pick up yet infinitely challenging puzzle game. Your goal is to match the color of hexagonal pixels in as few moves as possible. Start as a solitary black pixel, and with the help of your color palette, absorb other pixels along the way. Fill in the entire board with the same color to win the game!
It has: ⬣ 3 Board sizes ⬣ 4 Game modes ⬣ 4 Board shapes ⬣ Color Blind Mode ⬣ Light and Dark themes ⬣ Local Multiplayer Mode
We love casual games but right now, it seems most mobile casual games are gated and monetized to an exploitative degree. So we made a game that you just pay for upfront and that's it. It has as awesome original soundtrack to groove to. You can play offline and it's perfect if you're commuting or if you're stuck in a waiting room.
We hope you support a micro indie that's trying to go against the grain of an extremely publisher-driven, IAP-driven model in a genre we love.

I started working on this game a while ago. And it began as a classic freemium game. I knew from the start I didn't want it to be pay-to-win.
Recently I decided to also remove all ads and IAPs since I felt they just ruined the experience and it simply felt wrong to have them in the game.
This also meant that I had to make the game paid since I still needed to earn something from it. And since Google doesn't allow changing the price of a free app, this also meant giving up all downloads and reviews.
I thought about it for some time but now I feel I made the right decision.
You can get the game from itch (DRM free and 50% off for a limited halloween sale) or on Google Play. I'd describe it as a cyberpunk-themed arcade game with levels and and infinite mode.
>Galaxy Trader is a relaxing, open world space RPG. You'll enjoy it if you're looking for a peaceful exploration game that focuses on cargo hauling and trading.

Do NOT buy this game! It's a good game (I think, really; I'm the developer, so I maaay be a little biased), but I lost the source code and assets when my laptop burnt.
I posted here to raise a question. I'm working on the next iteration, Tipsoccer Evolution, and I'm thinking IAP for cosmetic content (pop culture references, mostly), maybe game modes and game setups (like Quidditch or something). The problem is, I don't want to make a cash grab but I don't want my work to go unrewarded.
It's really hard trying to come up with a system that is both respectful AND lucrative. I mean, you guys may be aware of the developer behind the game, but most of the people aren't. Just look at the stats: 15 921 downloads for the light version, 791 for the paid one.
My question is, for this type of games, what would you advocate in terms of business plan? Would game modes and cosmetic elements be fair to customer but would it still attract you? To what extent?
[EDIT] Goddammit, I forgot the "[Android]" tag in the title. Could one of the moderators please edit it? :/
