Do NOT buy this game! It's a good game (I think, really; I'm the developer, so I maaay be a little biased), but I lost the source code and assets when my laptop burnt.
I posted here to raise a question. I'm working on the next iteration, Tipsoccer Evolution, and I'm thinking IAP for cosmetic content (pop culture references, mostly), maybe game modes and game setups (like Quidditch or something). The problem is, I don't want to make a cash grab but I don't want my work to go unrewarded.
It's really hard trying to come up with a system that is both respectful AND lucrative. I mean, you guys may be aware of the developer behind the game, but most of the people aren't. Just look at the stats: 15 921 downloads for the light version, 791 for the paid one.
My question is, for this type of games, what would you advocate in terms of business plan? Would game modes and cosmetic elements be fair to customer but would it still attract you? To what extent?
