What is Reddit's opinion of To Do Reminder with Alarm?

Seriously, does anyone have a solution for this? You don't realize how badly you depend on these reminders until you don't have them any more. Here is what I have tried so far:

Disabling battery optimization (which was already in place before)

Changed battery usage to Unrestricted for the app

disabled Adaptive Battery which is suppose to limit battery usage for infrequently used apps (never had to before)

Auto Start manager: made sure that the app had a check mark by it allowing it to auto start

Even tried completely different reminder apps including google's own Tasks which still doesn't work. This is what clued me in that this is beyond poor A12 support for my preferred app.

This is the type of crap that makes me miss iOS. The default reminder app on it is fantastic and it never gives you crap like this. 🙄
