There is also https://github.com/kiall/android-tvheadend
Which is totally free and open source.

But it hasn't been maintained for some time.
I used it for a while, but went back to Kodi. With the embuary skin it runs lovely.
If you don't find any, there can be an other option:
- cheap raspberry pi with raspbian linux that can handle most of the usb tuners. Running tvheadend on it to stream the content locally. And installing "TvHeadend live channel" app on mibox that makes integration with AndroidTv's live channel
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.macinnes.tvheadend
Also, miboxes with oreo have some issues with interlaced live tv content: they show only half of resolution vertically. So video quality will be lower than expected.
Wow, and the app supports some of their already existing tuners also. Nice move.
Btw, because my tv box is not in the same room where the cable comes in, I use tvheadend server in a raspberry pi and app for enabling live channel over the local network for that:

I tried getting TVheadend set up with vaders, i was having trouble getting the channels to scan successfully. i ended up giving up,, but it might be worth it to try again. also, tvheadend makes an androidtv app that works with live channels. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.macinnes.tvheadend&hl=en
If you have tvheadend running on your NAS, skip the wait and just install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.macinnes.tvheadend
Seems to work really well. You get guide and everything else.
I'm clearly biased, as it's my app.. But if you have TVHeadend running for Cable/Terrestrial/Satellite streaming over your network - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.macinnes.tvheadend
It's Open Source too - https://github.com/kiall/android-tvheadend
https://tvheadend.org/ and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.macinnes.tvheadend&hl=en
tvheadend client is a little buggy, also a tvheadend server requires a bit of work to setup
if money is not a huge issue, id recommend a hdhomerun device over this setup type
Also keep an eye on TVheadend for PC server based DVR. I have it running on my Synology NAS with a HDHomerun connected via the network. It integrates fairly well with Kodi to enable timeshifting, recording etc.
Live Channels integration app was recently released and it works pretty well.

No live TV pausing/rewinding yet but it is on it's way.
Yes HDHR's are not cheap at all, but that is what you pay for a basically Plug n Play - multiple MUX Tuner setup. One that also has an auto EPG included.
Yes the RPi + Pi TV Hat would be a very cost effective way of adding TV streams to any networked device in a house. If you are willing to do a bit of DIY.
An old RPi might be a bit slow changing TV channels.
Limitations would be it likely only has a Single MUX Tuner. What that means is you can only watch one set of TV Channel from a TV Network group at any one time.
Not sure what different TV Networks there are in Italy, but where I live a single MUX DVB Tuner cannot have two different TvH clients watching TV channels from say the Ch.7 Network and also the Ch.9 network at the same time. It's one set of Network channels or the other.
It's the same limitation for simultaneous recording TV channels across different TV Networks.
Not sure about TvH and getting an Italian EPG, that is where life might get tricky and pretty involved. There is an EPG Grabber called over the air:OpenTV Sky Italia included in TvH:
https://profyaffle.github.io/versionB/webui/config_epggrab/
I personally use the over the included TvH - over the air : EIT DVB Grabber
The TvHeadend server Setup Wizard is pretty easy to get you up and going, use a real easy to remember Username and Password.
For Android TV you have a couple of TvH clients to hook into Live Channels:
(hint: make a note of your TvH server networked IP address first)

Or simply use Kodi and the HTSP TvH Addon to watch TV.
The new Chromecast GoogleTV dongle would be significantly faster vs an old Mi Box, but the CCGTV dongle has no Kodi auto Frame Rate Matching, so you get 50fps TV and 60Hz output sync issues.
You might not notice for general TV viewing, but sports with lots of broadcast camera panning left/right will look bad and have mini playback stutters.
Unless you manually switch to 50Hz output, but then 24p Netflix etc playback is horrible.
Whew.
Yes DVB tuner setups can get pretty involved and often take years to learn the ins and out of it all if doing a DIY project. It's all a learning experience.
It's why Joe Public simply buys a dedicated stand alone PVR or a HDHR.
You try Tvheadend Live Channel app heard it sometimes needed to work with tuners and Live channels app.

Sure!
Tvheadend is some free open source server software that runs on Linux or can run on a NAS box such as Synology and gets free to air channels from a usb or pci-e tuner card, it then lets any device on your home network view the channels.. all in all think of it as a do it yourself HDhomerun.
I have a Synology DS414 and have added a USB Tuner PCTV Picostick 74e my computer can watch this using VLC, and android has some tvheadend apps.
For android TV you can get the app here
Its in Beta and i think you may have to sideload it, and sign upto the Google+ page to download it
I like tvheadend because it has a huge ammount of options and customisation, i.e i have setup my own channel logo's that display in AndroidTV, for the average user its easier to just grab a certified tuner or hdhomerun, Tvheadend is more for power users, and i already had a NAS/server available
