The Play Store example is quite easy (once you figure out the details):
Use a WebsiteAgent, the basic configuration is here:
{
"expected_update_period_in_days": "1000",
"url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flashlight.ultra.gps.logger",
"type": "html",
"mode": "on_change",
"extract": {
"price": {
"css": "#fcxH9b > div.WpDbMd > c-wiz > div > div.ZfcPIb > div > div > main > c-wiz:nth-child(1) > c-wiz:nth-child(1) > div > div.D0ZKYe > div > div.wE7q7b > div > div.hfWwZc > div > c-wiz > c-wiz > div > span > button",
"value": "normalize-space(.)"
}
}
}
This will only produce output if the price changes. Add an email agent afterwards and you are done.
I have used background GPS loggers in the past. Even if they don't show a current map you can load the tracks onto a map.
There are plenty more.
I used a GPS logger on my old cell phone, every time I went out I set it to record. I did the same thing for every drive I made. I recorded them in KML format, then loaded all of them into google earth, set opacity to 70 or something.
I did this in 2014 as well, for all driving only though. I think it is neat, and a revealing to see your life from the view of a map. Where you've been, and where you have not. What your common routes are, etc.
I just bought this one for today's hike:

I'll report back.
UltraGPS logger is probably the most full featured logger. But the UI is a bit dated and complicated.
