We just launched our game Who Lurks on iOS and Android, and we're having trouble with finding the game on Android app store by looking up the name and it's no trouble at all on iOS app store. We reached out to Google and they replied with the following:
"Google Play search results can include matches for app title, the publisher of the app, app descriptions, and other signals. It's hard to refine the search results appropriately when common words (like "who") happen to be brand names or titles.
For example, when a user searches for “Word Game," it can be difficult to tell if the user is searching for an app named "Word Game," for a word search game, or for a different type of word game. Using the search phrase wholurks forces our search engine to autocorrect the search term and return results as if the search term were "who lurks" (in quotes).
If your app’s ranking for certain search terms is too low, you can recommend users search for your app’s name in quotes (i.e. "who lurks") to have our search engine look for that exact combination of words. I also noticed that your app is the first result when searching simply for "lurks". You can also link users directly to your app with this URL:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hybridhumans.wholurks"
So, I guess it'd be good to misspell it so it'd autocorrect it? But I honestly think the name is long, maybe something like R&Dead?
I hope that helps. Cheers
There was a mobile game like that. I forget the name, but you would have multiple people join a game and one of you would be an alien/imposter. You all play these little kinda-hard minigames, and the "Crewmate" goal is to do as well as possible while the "Imposter" wants to fail the minigame without making it look like they're trying to fail.
We only played once, but we voted to kick out my dad who ended up being a crewmate, he was just bad at the minigames. :( Sorry, Dad.
Went ahead and looked for it. It's called Who Lurks - Alien Horizon.
So there are a couple other games like that one or two of them use a Chromecast. Though who lurks is a fun one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hybridhumans.wholurks
Also the bridge simulator games might be too complex but heavily engaging promoting complex teamwork.
