It sucks. And while I am an off-and-on editor, I don't just mean from a editor/contributor standpoint -- it is legitimately easier to open whatever web browser you're using and go to m.wikipedia.org; their mobile app is so shit compared to the actual formatting the mobile site has.
With that said; yes, it works. Technically. But it certainly won't allow for article queuing, management (including editor/contributor tools), nor allow customization.
Not trying to say the suggestion is stupid; just giving my 2c on why OP is likely looking for something better -- the Wiktionary app is honestly loads better than the Wikipedia one, which is insane considering all Wikipedia sites (not just the English Wikipedia) are owned & operated by the Wikimedia Foundation.
EDIT: I've also come across Wiki Browser, which has SOME formatting to it, native to mobile devices, but I'm not sure I like it much better. Might work for OP though.
For Finnish to English, I would recommend Wiktionary.
It has many nice features, which are especially useful for Finnish:
A good both-way dictionary is fincd, but it lacks example sentences.
Wiktionary by Wikimedia Foundation although old, does a pretty good job.
or you could use some of these websites (directly or via keyword/search engine in Firefox for Android):
I don't use apps like this so I wouldn't know, but I know Wiktionary uses IPA.
