You should be using Womi Word Search (sometimes called green word search) instead of the first party one. This one is more stable.
As for the setting use the 2 words 16 second.

all in all, there are 30 apps in the play store that give you perk points - if you search for perk, they should be the first 30 in the list - but i have tested a few of them and they are not passive - perklinko is not passive by any means, discoball is also not passive - and there are others but i haven't had time to test them they are made by WOMI Studios
click on quick play / 2 points. also, use womi word search app and you can put more devices on it.
