Agree about VDNKh. There's a hug amount to see there, including the Ostankino Tower. However it took me about 3 hours of waiting before it was my turn to go to the tower top (last week). There is a somewhat complex process , which may be confusing unless you understand Russian. But the long wait was well worth it!
The Yuri Gagarin Monument is great, and gets barely any tourist love for some reason.
If you like Orthodox churches, check out the Cathedral to Christ the Saviour, and in particular the Sretensky Monastery (which I particularly liked).
I made it my mission to visit all of the Moscow Sever Sisters, which was also a reason to get familiar with the Metro. It's worth installing the Yandex Metro app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.metro&hl=en) to help you navigate. Has maps for Moscow and SPB.
Zhitnaya ul., 4 Zhitnaya ul., 4, Moskva, Russland, 119017

And the nearest Metro Station is right where the "M" is on the Map
And for using the Metro I recommend this App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.metro
You can also find it in the Apple App Store
It's my pleasure because I really love knowing people get to enjoy my city! :)
Here's an English speaking taxi company but I have never used it so I cant personally vouch for it. I must stress that you use an official taxi because you are a foreigner. I had my English friend almost get kidnapped by some immigrant in St. Pete's. This was of course a freak occurrence as I have taken unofficial taxis many times. Still, better safe than sorry.
The metro app iOS or Android works without internet once you install it and if you have NFC on your phone you can check how many rides you have left on your ticket. There is WiFi in most places like Starbucks or even in the Metro.
Clubbing is pretty darn expensive, saying this as a guy who likes buying girls drinks. Personally, I allowed myself to spend starting with 2k and finishing with 20k rub after a bonus at work (so about $60-600 by the old conversion cause I haven't been to a club in MSK since last summer). There are clubs which you wont get in without paying a ridiculous fee for entry (like Pacha and Icon). Then there are those which are more or less available price-wise like Looking Rooms or Sexton Bike Center. I honestly wish I could say more names but my nights out leave me with a bad memory and an empty wallet most of the time. Clubs are open most days as far as I remember but the turnout is obviously bigger during the weekends. A good cheap place to kick off a night or just chill with friends would be Kamchatka at Metro Kuznetski Most (someone mentioned it ITT, beautiful area).
Haha get hype!!!
