There actually is an app like that.

(Disclaimer: I work for Codename One)
My personal favorite is still one of the first cn1 apps (as such it's a bit clunky as it was written before cn1 was "a thing"). It's yhomework: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MathUnderground.MathSolver
It has many millions of downloads and a 4.5 rating despite the clunky nature. All of this with mostly viral word of mouth marketing. The functionality is pretty great and it works for iOS/Android has push, ads etc.
Our gallery is pretty old by now. We've been working on a new gallery for 3 years but we're re-doing the entire site instead. This takes some time but you can still see a lot of apps over there. Since the link is to our website I don't include it to avoid spam/SEO comments but you can find the link in the home page. Since it's pretty old all the apps look dated, newer apps look much better and this will improve significantly in the coming months as we finally hired a designer to the team after almost a decade... In retrospect not hiring one before was a huge mistake...
Due to privacy I can't share too many of the apps as most big developers that use our tool don't agree to share the fact that they use this tool...
One of the first developers to use it is this guy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MathUnderground.MathSolver so the app is very out of date by now but has millions of downloads and great ratings.

This is probably one of the coolest apps built on our platform: https://www.arrivu.com/ it's essentially a system that uses voice to walk you through websites. It also uses our JavaScript port to run directly in the web. Very cool stuff...
Scooter sharing app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.berider.app
RE/Max agent app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gryphtech.ilistmobile.paid
Those are just a few of what I remember. There are MANY but I don't keep track as much as I used to.
