It's really stupid, but if i get what you mean, you could use a app like "Yo".
The concept is very simple, just a tap and the person gets a notification, i guess this is "easier" than sending a text for something simple.
Not sure if the app keeps working, it hasn't been updated in like 6-7 years by now.
you can use something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justyo setting your devices (different accounts) to vibrate.
If you want to implement it in a form of a website, you can try utilze the HTML5 vibrate API (and some sort of simple chat like interface.. server side...)
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Navigator/vibrate
it's really easy to use, and supports length/pattern changing as well.. and with that you can later make it a hybrid app.
I usually spend it sending people "yo's on my Yo app
Actually that is based off a real app called YO. Same concept.
Are you thinking of Yo? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justyo&hl=en_GB
Sponsored by Yo.
Maybe this? Yo
I heard Google is buying this app to turn it into next month's messaging app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justyo
Do yo mean this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justyo
How is this different from Yo?
