Zombicide got an app for that since the first season I think. I'm not sure when it got out, but it was already available by summer of 2015 when I bought the game.

If you want quick and simple games, you can just throw 3 or 4 random tiles, place some tokens and play. You don't really need scenarios.
When I play solo, I use the app so I don't need cards and dices.
