The brand name is Sortkwik but it helps make things a little tacky without being sticky. We've had a lot of luck with it with Brodie, and it's nontoxic and dog safe.
The other option is boot training your pup and getting booties that have a little bit of extra traction, but not all pups are easily boot trained.

We use this and it works fine for the few times we've used it. Logan gets walked regularly and I make sure we walk on pavement so his nails wear down a bit plus when we go to the vet I let her do it too.
Just make sure when you cut you do it quick and firm in one movement. Don't try to cut like scissors on paper.
