In all honesty, there isn’t one universal metric you should be obsessing about.
There are quite a few of them and each one points out a specific aspect regarding your business. MRR, Churn rate, LTV, CAC, each metric stands for something and they are interconnected.
You need to know what they mean and how to adequately calculate them. I would definitely recommend this source of information, https://payproglobal.com/learn-saas, which is an online SaaS library, containing all the pieces of information you need. You have insights, strategies and comprehensive articles on a variety of topics, all SaaS related, of course.
I hope it helps!
Great article, definitely sharing. I work for a SaaS startup called Ramen that is very much focused on a similar space of empowering people who build products through the automated collecting of subjective data, understanding customer and their behavior at scale. It's fun to see how customer data can effect companies of any size. :)
Hi! We just started using SendInBlue.com. It's incredibly user friendly, and also comes with automation capabilities. It's also not very expensive. I think we're paying $40/mo, but we use the same login for the entire org. I'm not a marketing person, but I do have BI experience, I work in sales and it's been easy for me to setup drip campaigns to announce features, promos, etc. Another way to do this would be to get on a webinar schedule, and start a newsletter. Depending on the content you have available, you could do monthly or even quarterly, or perhaps only has features become available. Once you've recorded a webinar, it's really easy to turn that into YouTube and content for your website. We use GoToWebinar for that. Our website platform is Dynamicweb.com. Hope this helps!
