It's still very new though, so it hasn't finished synchronizing the blockchain yet. But it's almost done.
Edit:
It will be ready in 1-2 hours according to this tweet:
Maybe try Appcleaner to see if it can pick up the files you've missed when trying to completely get rid of it, hopefully it can then you can reinstall and select the correct drive.
What is the situation with the ticker symbol BCC already being used by Bitconnect Coin? It has a marketcap of 400 million USD, rank 15 on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitconnect
The fact that this has been overlooked or ignored does not bode well for Bitcoin ABC.
Blocks mined with Bitcoin ABC after day 23 won't have the bit 1 active right? These blocks would be rejected by the BIP91 nodes... "...This means that after another 336 blocks, a little over two days from now, all BIP 91–compatible nodes will reject any block that doesn’t include bit 1..." https://steemit.com/steemit/@slywest/bip91-locked-in-what-does-it-mean
Out of interest, if you run your own node, which of the two chains will it pick?
According to blockchair, 99 nodes are currently on the voluntarism chain, 28 nodes are on the bitcoinabc.org chain, and 203 are stuck on the November pre-hardfork block.
The website will show both your BTC/BCH balances
Exports all the private keys, in-case something goes wrong, you can use those private keys in other software
Rather than point to IpOfBitcoinCorePC, copy everything in .bitcoin Core data folder to BitcoinABC than run BitcoinABC, then run invalidateblock, when you are up-to-date on BitcoinABC chain, rerun with -rescan option
20 blocks were mined in the last 14 hours or so.
Furthermore, the last 5 blocks were mined in around 1 hour. It looks like more hash power has entered te network, or maybe it's just variance.
We will see.
Yes https://blockchair.com/ mentions difficulty level for each block mined. You need to check the box only. Difficulty hasn't changed one bit since the fork. I am rather clueless regarding this, but I've heard someone say that difficulty will adjust very slowly, unless there are less than X number of blocks produced in a 12 hour period (I think it was 6 blocks).
The exchanges have not enabled deposits yet? I've been trading it on Kraken from my BTC deposits credits, but I think https://www.bitfinex.com/ has more volume, less volatility.
But you have to trade it for BTC first, I doubt there is any direct ALT-BCH trading yet.
I'm not sure if electrumcash is affiliated with electrum or not, but it is for sure at least supported by the bitcoin ABC developers. Scroll down and you will see a hyperlink to it. That's where I first saw it: https://www.bitcoincash.org/
