Got there a few minutes after it open, left when was closing.
Was welcome with this big fish, as this guy as soon as he got there got it:

So I was hyped by it.
Only person with a fish I saw all day.
Got nothing but crawfish in my line all day.
Circle the whole place 3 times on the kayak looking for anything, only saw bubbles.
Saw a golden brownish fish briefly on the kayak, but was the only thing I saw.
Didn't spot any jumps on the water whatsoever.
It got a bit of sprinkles of rain in the last hour before closing, but still nothing.
Got home exhausted though.
Fun day nonetheless.
People working there are pretty cool people.
The guy with the fish had just arm this sun cover, but told me he was heading home to cook the fish, so was a short trip for him. Met him one minute, 10 later he was gone.
Nice! I use Tenkara for 50%+ of the fishing I do around here. It's the perfect small water rod. I've landed 17" cutbows on mine and 15" largemouth so it ain't no slouch.
These are helpful:
Glad to help. I also use the DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteer to get even more detail on rivers and small county roads that don't always show up on larger maps. It has helped me out when getting lost and I have no cell/gps service. If you have these two books, you're pretty much set for Colorado.
