Yep, they're actually working on a redesign so everything is bullshit right now.
I use reddit is fun and have for years. It's clean, easy, and they have a paid version that has no ads.
There's also a browser extension called Reddit Enhancement Suite (or RES) that I believe is essential for anyone who really gets into reddit. It allows you to filter out posts by word or subreddit, tag users with your own private flair, keep track of how many upvotes or downvotes you've given a user, and a bunch of other stuff that I haven't really messed around with. It's completely free and is available for pretty much every PC browser.
