It's not complete though (no castling) so the previous record remains.
Oh, this was a very gross approximation, I'm aware of it.
That being said, the real question is whether 20+ years (since 1997) of software development in chess programs can make up for ~10 years in hardware development (from the 80's to the 90's) ?
Again, it seems very plausible that the answer is yes. The software development of the best engines has been phenomenal, gaining an average of 45 ELO a year. Using the same method I used before (although flawed, it can give a approximative sense of the truth), Deep Blue, the engine that beat Kasparov in 1997, would have +130 ELO compared to Cray-2 purely on the hardware side. This time there no need to compare human ELO to machine ELO to come up with a positive answer to the original question.
Also, I think your second point isn't worded correctly. Maybe, you can clarify this ?

I found it by following the instructions in this post.
I Prefer ScidvsPc GUI (scidvsmac also available). Uses polyglot libraries quite nicely. All you have to do is copy the .bin file into the book directory of scid and you can access it.
I recommend the book Game Changer, the book about AlphaZero, the first publicized engine to have used reinforcement learning, which is what Lc0 is also based on (in fact Lc0 is the open-source equivalent of AlphaZero, based on the article published by the AlphaZero team describing how AlphaZero works)
So given this, I would say Lc0's playing style most resembles AlphaZero's :) And whether this is correct or not, I still highly recommend the book, which shows ways of playing chess that are very unorthodox and original
Matthew Sadler and Natasha Regan wrote a book about Alpha Zero: https://www.amazon.com/Game-Changer-AlphaZeros-Groundbreaking-Strategies/dp/9056918184
I got it but have only read a little; seems very interesting.
