Feel free to submit a ticket to our support desk as well! We will be happy to guide you through the sideloading process.
My understanding is that Pixel's have two modes: recovery and bootloader. Download mode is not available. CopperheadOS's recovery is significantly locked down and OTA's or other upgrades will not pass verification if they aren't signed with our keys. Downgrades aren't possible (you have to flash a new image) either.
I don't know what a s.c.a.m company is.
As mentioned on the official CopperheadOS page hardware can be purchased through our Partner Network. Send us an email or me a DM and I'll connect you to a partner in your region.
My 5th entry on Googling CopperheadOS is "copperheados pixel 3". Pixel 3 is a device we support.
We haven't looked in to supporting any other hardware currently, however, we could depending on the demand. So far the requests coming in for alternative hardware to the Pixels have been varied and not focused.
Hello and welcome to the sub. It seems from the crosspost that your passwords were scooped up in previous breaches and weren't difficult enough to crack. Make sure when you reset your passwords you use a password manager, such as KeepPassXC, to provide strong randomly generated passwords and store them securely.
>Can I use a new android phone with your OS and use it for banking and financial transactions? I would ofcourse change my email addresses and phone numbers linked with this.
Yes, CopperheadOS is supported on the Pixel 3 and 3a series. You can absolutely use your banking and financial applications.
>What all devices are currently supported? Would it make sense if I bought a new One Plus 8 device and loaded your OS unto that? Which are the ones you'd recommend?
Pixel 2, 3 and 3a series. The Pixel 2 series is likely to reach End Of Life this year so we recommend moving to a Pixel 3 or 3a. The 3a currently has the longest support cycle and is a budget phone, so that is the device we recommend.
>Would I still have access to the play store?
CopperheadOS users can access the play store through The Aurora Store. This isn't fool-proof as not all applications are built with a non-Google device in mind, unfortunately, and may give you warnings on boot-up or not be able to deliver timely notifications. The security of Aurora Store is dependant on the security of the developer. If you're extra concerned, login to your bank/financial org through your browser.
