LOL. I hear you. I just bought two of these $5-6 Amazon Nylon 22mm bands.

Delivering today happy to let you know the quality-- its just a nylon band w/ a quick release, I cant imagine it will be drastically different from OEM bands. And no words/writing. Super cheap too.
reddit won't let me link it pub? ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B17XR6GM
I've used these same bands (20mm version) for the last year on my Pace2, and they hold up well. I just swap 'em out when I feel like changing color.
Missed your reply, sorry. Someone else posted a link to basically the same strap I have. As others have said, it's reflective, but it's not terribly useful. Better than nothing, but if you want an actual reflective watch band, I would probably get a strip of reflective material Like this and sew it onto the band.
Being on your wrist though, it's not the most useful place to have reflective gear.
this band also works great! fits my pace 2 like a charm, and is way comfier than the silicone strap AVOD 20mm Nylon Sport Quick Release Bands Compatible with Garmin vivoactive3/Forerunner 645/Galaxy Watch 42mm Bands/Active2 44mm 40mm (Spruce Mist, 20mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089RJBXR6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YQ5J0DFSC63RYNP13BDP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got this one from Amazon and it's been great. It's been about a year and the velcro is holding up well, as is the band itself, if not a little dirtier.
I am experiencing some issues with my Vertix1 during fast changes of HR, but no issues at all with cardio or steady-state workouts. Coros themselves aren't too confident in the HR measurements, but the type of exercise you show should be covered.
I had a lot of improvements in HR tracking when I switched to a sport loop band. These types of watchbands are more stretchy and comfortable and can be indefinitely adjusted to the wrist, unlike normal plastic straps. They also reduce the weight of the watch significantly. Worth a shot to try fixing the issue this way.

IMO elastic bands are far more comfortable than either the silicone or the nylon straps it comes with. I've been using this cheap $3 navy blue 20mm quickrelease strap from a 5-pack for the past couple months, and it's held up quite well. Barely notice I'm wearing it. Only thing to remember is to squeeze your wrist with the towel when getting out of the shower so it doesn't stay damp for long.
Same.

I got something like this. And it helps to keep that ring from digging into your skin.
No direct method. You could periodically start a workout recording with GPS, save it, then see where the track is in the app, but unless you get lost and truly need a "last resort" method to finding your way, that's probably a lot more cumbersome than you want.
Curious, how does one break a phone's GPS without actually completely breaking the phone?
You could add a separate GPS receiver to your phone via BlueTooth: https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Electronics-XGPS150A-Multipurpose-Augmentation/dp/B006M49G80/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=bluetooth+gps+receiver&qid=1627327563&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyS1dOVFJaR09aRk8wJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTY4MDE5M0dHNlpTWks5RVpXNSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjY3MDg3TDQxR0ozQ1BHWkZFJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
I just got this and it works great so far. I used to use this Garmin one for my watch for $15. They are cheaper options on Amazon.
Having the watch mounted on the bike make riding alot easier as compared to checking the device from the wrist. It's very secure and the screen is very legible. I had mine paired to a external chest HR strap for tracking my HR Data
Happy Trails!
