Haha it is SO MUCH INFORMATION!!! I just ordered this lamp https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071CTZJ6L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And this efile https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TM3BYNJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also went on the dnd website (not the game lol but the gel polishes) and ordered a bunch of colors bc I've read they're a good brand and affordable! And they're having a sale rn. I also ordered the young nails starter gel kit and they have tons of tutorials on how to use it on yt.
It is definitely and upfront investment.... but I'm hoping it's worth it!
I use this remover instead of pure acetone.

It does not dry out my nails too much and is great at getting my nails off….gel, dip and acrylic. I also use cuticle oil and hand cream a lot…which really helps me.
Thank you! I got these and they are perfect and very affordable- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LMN358W/ref=twister_B0BFFYW89R?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I trimmed off something like 3 stray bristles, but for the price I think they were perfect after trimming those strays 🙂
I just got this today would it be helpful instead of using alcohol?

I have it on my desk & use headphones so I can listen to and glance at long-form youtube while I work!
I’ve always loved press-ons but was only able to find ones that fit me right recently. The gap was either too much, glue didn’t work and/or the nails were painful. Here is what has worked for me
Glue: Dashing Diva Fastbond glue from Sallys. It is really thick and easily fills any gaps. I learned of this product from another reddit post. https://www.sallybeauty.com/nails/acrylic-nails-and-polygel/nail-glue/fast-bond-nail-glue/SBS-006633.html
Tips: I got the short coffin nails because I need to type at work and these are the perfect length. They also work with my flat nails are flexible near the base. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8546DTK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I hope you find something that works for you!
I have an electric file, this beurer kit here which I use first then use a glass file to finish the edges
Not sure how good it rates but I got it in 2019 and it's going strong. Use it to dull surface before soaking nail. My skin is durable so the acetone has not bothered me
The polygel was much easier to work with the brush only. Use a few thin layers. The dual form 😬 nope. It looks better now that I slept and fixed the edges
Do you mean this one? Amazon lamp
For someone who just started, I think you are doing great!
The thing I would recommend working on is getting the edges a little neater, which helps with 2 things, 1) avoiding allergies (uncured product that accidentally touches skin can cause allergies, so it's important to learn how to control the edges early). And 2) avoiding lifting (because neat edges are less likely to catch moisture or hairs or clothing)
for neat edges I have 3 tips, 1) pressing both hands onto the same stable surface (like a desk or countertop), make sure you are never "painting in the air" unstabilized. and 2) consider using a separate brush that is small enough for you to press really hard with it and the brushes won't splay out too much when you press hard. Pressing helps me get rid of shakes and that is really only needed near the edges. I have these brushes for example and I really only use the 2 smallest sizes because pressing hard helps me stabilize. 3) some gels will slide at the edges with gravity and some don't do that at all. If you do have a runny gel you can still work with it by clipping the side skin back and tilting the nail with free edge down.
