If you’re just going to throw something over it while you’re grilling you might want to check out flexible deck grilling mats like

I have this one under my grills/smokers on my composite deck. I set my charcoal chimney on it after I dump the coals and the deck under it is fine.
Nice awesome score. Here is a link for sketchup I purchased and helped me a lot using it. Looking forward to seeing it all finished.

New lengths and they meet at the corner. No offset needed with the hardware I bought which works well. It was the least visible. I liked that “bullet” system but it was crazy expensive. This is the stuff I got

I used one of these but you can also use a car jack and a 4x4 if that’s all you have.
G Tape? Thanks, what does the G mean?? Doesn´t seem to be the brand name..
Not OP, but do you recommend butyl joist tape, like this?
So your new 4x4 post away from the house is about 2” from the other 4x4 that appears for your stair railing. If you attach those two 4x4’s you will gain a lot of stability for both rail sections. You can do this in a manner of ways but angle brackets may be easiest given the proximity.

It looks like your 16 on center. The span changes at different spacings and with different load requirements and spacing. You should be fine on all counts, I think.
Other posters are correct about needing a tie down or hangar. I've built several decks professionally and I've not seen many of the z brakets used. I would definitely put hangars, https://www.amazon.com/Lumber-JL26-Joist-Hangers-Count/dp/B001B1CF0A/ref=sr\_1\_2?dchild=1&keywords=2x6+joist+hangers&qid=1634053543&sr=8-2

There are some poor reviews but either they got bad stuff or just not skilled DIYers.
Agreed, undersill trim. Similar to what's around windows. Depending on the size of your project, one of these might be handy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004SUQX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_D3Z7ENR3T5WFXHZWVC5Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The tool creates small clips in the final siding piece which interlock into the undersill. Or you can cut the pattern by hand with a knife too.
Well... maybe not. The hand rail is not currently to code so I guess I need to add a supplemental “graspable” hand rail. I’m thinking of calling in the inspector and see if he lets me slide on the aspect ratio of the hand rail (it’s only 5 steps). If he says no I can add the rail. I used these for the stair cables

Yes, I ONLY have tighteners on the end and corner posts. All the mid span posts are “pass through” bushings (one on each side). Don’t forget to thread them on before you make the end swage

I went with this kit. I just finished so I can’t comment on how it will last but I’m totally happy with the look and the installation. I was all in for $800 for all the parts and some tools I had to buy - and I’m always ok buying tools ;) That was actually cheap - I saw some kits adding up to way over $2000 for parts alone. It’s all stainless steel and all of it’s made in China so I could not see spending so much more for the “high end” kits.
