I like this type due to the wired from earbud to earbud I can remove one without fear of dropping and losing it. Decent inline mic and nice sound.
it really has to be decided based on your daily use. if you are not looking for a pair of perfect earphones, I would suggest you go for the budget ones with versatility, something like well-balanced sound performance with noise cancellation and reliable battery life.
I have a pair of Phaiser BHS 790's and they are truly fantastic. the sound quality is unbelievable, and I own other Sennheiser in-ear headphones and open-back cans as well (HD 598's).

Shure IEM's are what I used to use playing drums on stage, they're great at cancelling noise out, and they have a whole range of quality options available. Will edit with link.
EDIT: the Shure SE series is what I would recommend. Shure SE215-CL Sound Isolating Earphones with Single Dynamic MicroDriver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004PO10E2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_idWNAbD04A73Y
Getting a 3rd-party replacement is a good idea. i'm getting this one which takes a long time to ship but should be worth the wait.
