This is taken from the Robinhood website:
"You may receive some assets during subsequent, residual sweep distributions. A residual sweep is the process of transferring any securities that may have remained in an account after completion of the initial ACAT transfer. Residual sweeps are common when you have unsettled trades or dividend payments at the time the ACAT transfer request is received. This process usually occurs on a weekly basis after the initial transfer is completed. You do not need to take any action to initiate these residual sweeps."

So...I'm assuming they will transfer at some point lol.
It’s basically just closing an options contract and simultaneously opening another one on the same security with either a different strike or different expiration (or both). It happens in one transaction so you don’t have to worry about not being able to execute either the contract close or open separately and you can specify how much total you want to make (credit) or spend (debit) in getting it done. So you don’t have to worry about hitting an exact price on either side as long as the market maker can get you the net result you want.
I have used it recently when a trade has gone in my direction and I believe it will keep moving that way but my expiration is approaching. It’s also a great way to take some profit off the table but keep the trade open and the upside available.
Hope that helps!

behind the scenes? You pay. Just a question of whether you know you're paying. Note you pay $5 a month always, and you don't see margin costs until you use more than $1000. (kind of like getting the first bag of heroin free, or at least free as in "hidden in your monthly cost".)
If it's just margin to cover the T+2 settlement period, then yeah, no brokerage makes you pay for that "margin".
Your account will be charged the $5 monthly fee every 30 days at the beginning of each billing cycle. If you use more than $1,000 of margin, you’ll pay 2.5% yearly interest on the settled margin amount you use above $1,000. Your interest is calculated daily and charged to your account at the end of each billing cycle.

If your account is deactivated because of a transfer and you have remaining cash, it should be moving over there by end of next week. I say should because Robinhood, per their website, says residual sweeps happen usually on a weekly basis. I found this to be true in my case. You can read more about it in the "What happens after I initiate a full transfer?" section of the webpage below.

Awesome, hopefully mine get transferred here soon. I did find this article so I'm wondering if I just have to wait for that residual sweep.
Thanks u/Apt_ferret & u/jerzeyguy101 for detailed explanation. Yeah, never did look into ADR before, good to know now. https://www.schwab.com/stocks/understand-stocks/adrs-foreign-ordinaries-canadian-stocks
Based on schwab, looks like typically the fee is 1-3 cents per share, for my SE case yesterday, look like it was 1.5 cent/share.
I did not close the RH account . I followed the link that my friend share to transfer. It asks me for all or part of the investment account. It’s weird I don’t think you’ve to close the account. Also, you can ask fidelity to cancel the transfer anytime. That’s what I understood. I read through this link before doing anything, scroll at the bottom sections for details

Ok I found something on partial transfers here but also note it says assets being transferred will be restricted over a period of time so that sounds like you’re not gonna have control and the time period is not specified but it may be a few days for the transfer to go though https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/transfer-stocks-out-of-your-robinhood-account/
I can’t say what exactly to do here. Do what you believe is best but just be aware of that information. Maybe do it piece by piece so it’s not all at once. It’s all on your risk tolerance.
This article seems to explain it all pretty well
I’m nearly certain the pre-tax contribution limits for a traditional IRA are less than the contribution limits for a Roth IRA. So if you can contribute to a traditional IRA with pre-tax money, then there’s no benefit in executing a backdoor Roth. The whole premise of a backdoor Roth is that you make too much to qualify for direct contributions. Anyone can contribute to a traditional IRA but the pre-tax benefit contribution MAGI limits are even lower than a Roth. Hence why you need to pay taxes when you convert the traditional to a Roth. The year in which you execute the conversion is the year that the conversion amount is added to your income and you pay taxes, so its something to be strategic about.
Either way - I’d definitely confirm that you actually put pre-tax money into a traditional IRA.
I don't use RH but I'm surprised they wouldn't also allow the same under a cash account.

Are you sure you don't have a margin account?
Just as an FYI, schwab just post this link on their website that fractional shares is coming soon: https://www.schwab.com/stock-slices
Fidelity already offers fractional investing on their mobile app as of February 2020

If you're in the US: Fund your Roth first. Put in $500 every month and that will equal $6000 for the year. Do this every year. Start by investing in the ETF's VTI or VOO.

Don't sell when the market drops. It will drop multiple times during your investing life. Sometimes it'll be severe and scare the hell out of most people. That's when you should buy more, as much as you can. It always recovers. Sometimes it takes weeks, months, or years...but it always comes back.
Don't take out a loan on your IRA. Some people think that's a fabulous option; your money isn't growing when you take it out for a loan or any other reason.
Have more to invest than $6K? Own a business? Open up a Simple IRA or a SEP IRA. Don't open a business? Invest in your taxable brokerage (non-ira). Buy and hold.

So far it seems like it's working fine, I'll know more tomorrow when the market opens.
Edit: it's very quiet. During windows updates the CPU was pegged and I never heard the fan. Temps are staying around 45C
