Put a little chlorox in the water to prevent any bacterial growth. Add sugar or give cut flower food so that your flowers are getting the nutrients they need to extend their life.
If you have time, buy a flower sealant to prevent the petals from losing their moisture.
Some flowers are okay in the sun. Roses like a little sun and will open up a bit. Others will not. So just do your research on the particular flower types you’re using.
Make sure to remove any leaves before submerging in water. Submerged leaves with promote bacterial growth and may kill the flowers prematurely.
Hope that helps!
These look great! Those last ones are especially awesome.
Pro-tip, you can replace the rubber band with green floral wire.
What a thoughtful gift! My boyfriend got me these guys for Christmas and I am in love with them.
For secateur/ hand pruners your can’t beat Felcos. You can replace and sharpen all parts!
I wouldn’t like those for floral work really though other than the occasional thicker stem. I much prefer a sharp needle nose pliers type like this kind on Amazon. I have had these ones for a year ish and they still work and cut great!
