There isn't an "upgraded" battery, but you can get a charger that comes with batteries so you can always have a charged set ready to go. This is what I got, and it works great:
I've only had mine for 6 months and I love it. It's my first e-rig and I now use it exclusively. And this is coming from an old-school stoner who's been burning since the 80's. I'm still learning and improving how I use it. When I first started I thought I had to have it on max heat all the time. I now use it at level 2 (4 levels, 4 is the highest) and get 3 - 4 cycles out of a single dab. It's pretty awesome.
To answer your questions from the perspective of a carta newbie:
- I would say yes for dabbing rosin and waxes. I've never used it for herb nor do I intend to.
- Yes I believe so.
- I have not done a single upgrade to mine, besides buying an external battery charger and a couple extra sets of batteries. I'm still perfectly happy with the rig as-is. I think if I do upgrade, the first thing I'd look into is a new cap, then maybe one of the fancy new inserts.
- I think they're pretty dependable. Having said that, I did burn out my atomizer in the first few weeks, but that was user error. I think I accidentally reset the atomizer at a very low temperature, then when I tried to reset it again, it was way too high, and it just got burnt out. But, the customer service was excellent and replaced it at no cost. I also purchased a backup everlast atomizer that I keep as a backup, but I haven't had any issues since that first one. Just keep it clean and it will last a long time.
- As I mentioned, an external battery charger with a couple extra sets of batteries is probably the first and most important accessory.

Probably not. I wish I had a manual to see if they suggest you use a charger. this is a solid one
You can get a silicone band for your Ti lid.
They are under $10 on Amazon. Size 11 fits the Ti lid.
The batteries do not charge evenly if you use the cable to charge them in the Carta. It charges 1 battery first and sometimes it doesn't chage the 2nd battery to 100% even if the lights indicate it is fully charged.
If your batteries wear out at different rates you can run into voltage problems and cause your Carta to not heat up properly.
Others have recommended an external battery charger and I finally switched over once my original FocusV stock batteries starting causing problems.
You can get an external battery charger for $15 on Amazon.
KeepPower 18350 batteries by Alumn are cheap and the external charger will charge each battery to full capacity. Your batteries will last longer in the Carta and the lifespan will be longer this way, too.
I got 4 KeepPower batteries so one pair is charging while I am using the other pair. This way I can always start off a new session with fresh, fully charged batteries.
Spare batteries and a charger You will really want this. Also, The $40 bent neck Carta top is a good buy. Works with both OG Carta and Carta 2. A little ice cream salt and 91 ISO to clean the inside of the glass. If you chazz the bucket, torch it clean. My old OG Carta has thousands of dabs on it and it STILL blows fatter clouds than either of my Puffco products. I never got the dry herb atomizer to work right. Only thing I didn't like.

Extra batteries and charger are so clutch!!! I also keep tiny alcohol swabs on deck to keep the top of the bucket & cap clean after a few seshes.

I'm not expert but try these links. White lights tend to be related to teh atomizer. But it's not always bad (at least for me). Some times its just not clean or on too tight or too loose.

Again, i'm not an expert. hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in. I've had this before but it was just finding the magic position of the atty, and make sure no debris is there.
Nice sounds like a sweet little setup lol. I have a custom top made from PADD glass myself! And as far as the tweezers I got mine at Walmart for like 10 bucks I think, Amazon also some and I'd go with these which I'll link here
Just make sure they are ceramic tipped and my preference is also reverse locking but that's users choice lol

Use a dry Q tip to clean your SiC insert after each session. Don’t use ISO on a hot SiC

You can get like 4 silicone bands on Amazon for under $15. Size 11 fits perfectly on the Ti lid.

You don’t necessarily need the whip attachment. I empty the stock glass, push a silicone whip into the mouthpiece of the Carta glass, and then use a Vaporizer Adapter in the other end. Viola.

If you charge the batteries in the device, it charges one battery, then the other one (and it doesn't always charge the other one up all the way, even if it shows that its full). Your batteries will wear out at a different pace, and one will die before the other. This causes voltage problems with the Carta, and can lead to it not heating up properly.
You can get this external 18350 charger on Amazon for less than $15. It will charge each battery to the maximum. Your batteries will last longer in the device, and their overall lifespan.
If you're going to buy additional 18350 batteries, get these KeepPower batteries from Ilumn. They're cheaper than the ones on Amazon, and WAAY better.
Eh, I wouldn't ever pour, soak, or the like down the base of the unit lol. Just seems like you're asking for trouble. The best part of this device is because it's so effecient and truly shines with small amounts, you should never have to get to the point of doing anything like that to the base of the unit.
Simply taking some of the cotton or all of it off the qtip will allow you to fit it into the atty intake hole as well as the glass hole. However if you're worried about cotton getting stuck behind, I've had great success with using these dipped in iso
Doesn't have to be this brand, plenty other brands that look exactly like this, but you get the point.
So long as you even clean out your base once a week you will be fine. Your biggest issues are going to be keeping the atomizer clean, even then with the Everlast atty, there isnt too much build up.
