from Amazon These stuck well, but I had a reaction after 4 days. It wasn’t coming off without a fight 😂😂
I used to use both skin tac and a bandage over mine after losing two.
Now I skip the skin tac.
I've used the bandage type ones and they will sometimes peel up on one edge before the 14 days it up, but not always:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QB7V6MF
Now I'm trying the clear ones and really like how thin they are - they stick well with no lip to pull up.
I hate it when that happens. I can't get Mediare to pay for more than 2 per month. When one goes bad (like it has been quite a bit lately) I have to call Abbott and wait 4 days. I just got a replacement today and have two more coming in that are covered by Medicare. I bought these but they are not coming in till Monday

I have been using these to hold the sensors in place. First I use an alcohol pad on the area after I put the sensor on, then slap one of these on. Damn thing doesn't want to come off after that.

i use these patches and they work really well for me. Tegaderm basically MADE for the Libre.
Use skin tac. Works amazing for me. My sensors all last 14 days and they are still really hard to take off after that
You get 50 wipes of the product and you use one every 2 weeks so you have almost 2 years of them for $15
I had a similar problem. In such cases, the sensor moves as a result of something, and the "low glucose" alarm comes on. Since it can't reposition itself (and you can't either), that's why the "replace" message comes up. After many, many attempts, I got a good tip here. What worked for me (I wanted to swim with it) is that I bought this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SLXHN9W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Now I swim for an hour every day, for 14 days, and it lasts the 14 days. It doesn't matter if I accidentally towel it harder or the strap of my bag gets caught in it. Try it and see if it helps you too.
Just contact Abbott and tell them your sensor came off. They should send you another.
i use these and i haven't lost a sensor since i started using them. But i did lose a few before that and had no trouble getting them replaced. Still took 3 or 4 days to get to me, but at least i wasn't paying for another sensor.
I use these. They work great for the whole 14 days.. bath, hot tub, shower, pools... they are water proof! Shave the area before you put them on!

First time using the Libre2 and I bought some generic covers from amazon last week. They are really comfy, and it seems to be lasting really well?
I haven’t got previous experience with other covers to compare it too though.
Here is the link : Libre 2 covers on Amazon
These are the Tegaderm patches I use. They're normally used for IVs and ports.
You'll love me when you see how effective they are!
I think those are always supposed to be placed on the back of your upper arm. That's where my husband and mom both have it. We have had trouble with them getting knocked off when changing clothes so we got some "covers" for them, which have really helped: Skin Grip CGM Patches for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088HCNHPB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I also make sure my skin is dry, has no oils, and I try to time it so I don’t take a shower for a few hours after I Insert it.
These sensor covers help me a ton, the little plastic flower part makes it super easy to change the sticky part if I need to. I work outside and sweat like crazy. In the summer I usually make a cover last 7ish days. In the winter I can make one last a full 14 days.
Also - try to stick it in a place your arm doesn’t stretch a lot. I try to have as little movement of the skin under the sensor as possible - the front of the arm works well for me.
can't really tell you. I just use skintac and have been using it since my libre 14 day.

Its $13 for almost 2 years worth of it. I put it on my skin in a circle with some space in the middle of the circle with none of the skin tac for where the sensor inserts into your skin.
skin grip! I’m a swimmer and I use skin grip for my libre. It’s a little hard to get it on over the sensor, but as long as u wait an hour before getting it wet, and rub it on rly good you’ll be fine. I’ve also use these patches from amazon that go over the sensor completely. don’t stay on as long but still are good. skin grip
Freestyle Sensor Covers for Libre 1/2/3,Waterproof-50 Pack Adhesive Patches,Transparent CGM Overpatch Tape Lasting to 14 Days-Without Hole (50 Count (Pack of 1)) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C7R4GHV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_W7SZ3N8WMQ4W7E5ZYH1R?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use one of these, sometimes just first few days to support adhesive https://www.amazon.co.uk/Freestyle-Armband-Flexible-Protects-Alternative/dp/B085VZ4FRF/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=3RGO047JSRB8Y&keywords=freestyle+libre+band&qid=1647124124&sprefix=freestyle+libre+band%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-4
I have been wearing a textile version of this for months now and haven't had to replace before the 14 days were over. It's a bit visible in summer, but so be it. I might order on of these myself. I take mine off for a shower, with this no need.
The benefit is that you don't have to worry about allergic reactions to any extra adhesive.
If that is not a problem...Skin Tack works for most people.
I'm a bandaid rash person. I use skin tac wipes. It makes a huge difference. If I wear a bandaid for more than a day or two, I get big red blisters. With this, I can go the two weeks with minimal redness. I do need to alternate arms and change sites to give it a break.
A big thing that helps too, is to use the tac away remover, and go really slowly. Pulling the sensor off too quickly has blistered me up as well.
These are real close to what I use.
Mine have a little flower thing that makes it easier to change the tapes since they usually last the full 14 days in the winter but once my arms are exposed and I sweat a lot in the summer, they usually last closer to 7.
I bought a Freestyle Libre Sensor Armband Holder off eBay but they are on Amazon too, it’s an elastic strap with plastic central area, like a watch (rubbish explanation but works well) comes in handy especially in first few days to secure the adhesive https://www.amazon.co.uk/Freestyle-Sensor-Armband-Holder-Protector/dp/B09H644XPD/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?keywords=Freestyle+Libre+Sensor+Armband+Holder&qid=1644863099&sr=8-16
I’ve been told you can’t put the skintac (or iv prep or whatever you use) directly on the section where the sensor is going to be inserted. So I usually do a circle that doesn’t have it in the general area where I will put the sensor and then just get the edged.
I was also told not to shower within 6 hours of inserting or after insertion to make sure any soaps/lotions are off the skin and that the sticky stuff has a good chance to bond to the skin.
I also use [Sensor Covers for Freestyle Libre,40+1 Pack Libre Patches Waterproof,One Plastic Libre Sensor Cover and 40pcs Clear CGM Adhesive Patches with Hole Blue Cover+Clear Patches] https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B095JVS2T3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_AY2EXVKV1YKF39X2ZQK8)
I know it's frustrating but don't give up. Sometimes these patches are touchy. Call the Manufacturer of the freestyle Libre and let them know what is going on. They will create an account and send you a free replacement. Don't throw out the bad sensor. Tell them you have it and they will send a paid postage envelope to you to send the defective patch back to them. If you threw it out, they will still send it out to you free. I went through the same thing. I would also suggest you get one of those freestyle Libre bandaid patches to secure your patch in place. One knock or bang will mess it up. These things cost money. Contact them at Customer Relations Team at 1-855-632-8658, available Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern Time.

I use these to keep my patch secure. I hope this helps.
Hey you should look on Amazon for theseskin tac I know they’re pricey but have really helped, mine used to stay on a really short time, also make sure you wipe with alcohol wipes first, hope it helps
What's been working for me:
Since I've been doing it that way, I haven't had a sensor come off early, and I still have to pull to get them off when the time comes.
I use these patches and I love them. In the winter they last for the majority of the 14 days. On the summer I get 6-9 days out of them and since they don’t actually touch the sensor it is super easy to change and just apply another patch. I’ve been using them for about 6 months now and I’ve only lost one to getting caught on something and ripping it really hard.

It works really well. I often need to use rubbing alcohol to get it off on the last day. Just make sure you leave a small area for the sensor to poke through your skin. You don't want to get the tac on it
In the UK and the British weather I never have any issues with the sensor staying on for 14 days. Whenever I visit Greece or another warm country I almost always have at least incident. So I started using Rocktape H2O. I cut the tape on the size I need (sometimes I use two stripes to form an X shape) and I always use some kind of plastic/cling film to cover the sensor so it does not stick to the tape.
Rocktape stays on for days, it is waterproof and the 5m tape lasts at least for 4-5 months of use. I still use the one I got 2 years ago :D
(last year I only went on a warm climate for 2 times)
Seeing some of the responses the FixIc ones seem cool.
The one benefit I like of my rocktape is the colour - I got the beige one - which blends with my skin colour and the sensor is not visible to everybody at the beach.

These or similar? They stay on me about 10 days, so I've started changing them every seven. Last night I cleaned a bigger patch with alcohol (instead of barely more than sensor-sized spot) to see if this one will stay longer. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QB7V6MF/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_oMzTEiqCXl3Ww
I work construction and had issues too. I finally figured out something recently that helps.
I moved my site to the front of my arm and I’ve been using these flower patch things from Amazon. The little flower around it makes it super easy to actually attach the tape and gives it something to attach to other than the tiny ring around it plus it makes it super easy to change the tape when it starts releasing.
I alcohol it and then I use either IV prep or skin tac and let it completely dry. Then I put the flower petal on the tape then apply tape to arm.

You can also 3D print this stuff. They have patterns of different types on thingverse. I recently had a friend print some for me and they work as well as the one I bought.
Also - this last sensor was the first to go on for 14 days instead of falling off on day 3-5. And just plan on changing the cover at least once on the site. Nothing lasts for 14 days on me.
Sure.
There are many MANY types, colorful, plain, all kinds. just search for Libre sensor covers, or something like that.
These clear covers work great for me to keep the sensor dry. It lasts about a week before I’ll replace it. https://www.amazon.com/Freestyle-Latex-Free-Medical-Adhesive-Waterproof/dp/B08VH62YP7/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=libre+freestyle+cover&qid=1622704979&sr=8-5
My last two have stung like crazy. One was so bad that I couldn't wear it after a day. The other that I have on right now feels like there's a thumbtack in my arm if I raise it above my shoulders.
I'm 95% sure the first one hurting was from using SkinTac wrong. The second one seemed to improve when I added a Flexd patch to reduce movement and chances of catching on things.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GCRWNA/ and it works great, thought if you reapply it if you messed up the first time, it will start to peel off, but not if you apply it the first time. I bumped it a few times and this stopped it from coming off.
I’ve purchased patches on Amazon to keep it on.
These are the ones I have.
