I've sent AU dollars converted to US, it setup a US bank account for me, it gives you the numbers you need.
I've pointed CS at it for a purchase, but I'm waiting for the magic to happen.
If anyone knows how to get AU dollars auto converted to US dollars via Wise or something, I really would like to setup a regular investment plan that is automated rather then manual.
If your account details have a routing number starting with 026, then there are limits but if they start with an 084, there are no limits

Not to be a buzz kill about Wise, but there website specifically says they're not protected by the FSCS. I Assume this means the Australian FSC would also not apply.

They claim that instead they keep money "safeguarded" but the avenues they use for their process involves investments in (US/UK) government bonds as well as:
JP Morgan Chase RBS International Barclays Bank PLC Adyen Citibank AS LHV Pank

My concern is if collapses happen and money is transferred to Wise it may not come out the other end, at least with standard banks you are guaranteed your $250k per account.
I'm more than happy to be proven wrong so if someone has more knowledge about this please let me know.
I tried and it didn't work for my Wise USD account. Apparently USD balance direct debits for non-US residents are only available if your routing number starts with "084". See their article on direct debits.
My account's routing number starts with 026. I contacted wise about it and they claim they can't change it for me, nor can I apply specifically for an account which supports direct debits.
