We've heard from several Buffalo supervisors that GEICO has hired a THIRD PARTY contractor who has been holding meetings with supervisors and managers with the ultimate goal of avoiding unionization. They have been assessing the unionizing efforts by asking supervisors things like which departments are more likely to want a union, what do employees like and don't like, etc. These firms charge $300/hr and all they do is spread the same antiunion agenda that has been in place since the 70s. If anyone is interested in learning more I highly recommend reading this book.
P.S. A union is NOT a third party, but a union-busting firm is.
The GEICO salary schedule is not applied equally to employees. There is a tremendous amount of income inequality at GEICO. We’ve been graphing people’s pay as we collect signatures to try to find patters based on merit or tenure and there is none. There’s a very good book on the topic if you’re interested in reading more.
You can use a seam ripper to cut it off from the back.
They’re probably cheaper somewhere else, but here’s an example: Dritz 638 Deluxe Seam Ripper https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001DSIVY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_MMPVH5XJ8PYEGVQWPCKP
I hope you find greener pastures
I’d suggest some training on emotional intelligence if you’re truly interested in gaining perspective and increasing your social awareness. I’ve added a link to a great book which may help.
