If the issue is strictly the website not being happy with your IP address, just change it temporarily. There are some programs out there that will allow you limited usage of download with a free account to their service. For example, sometimes I use TunnelBear to change my IP for a few mins for whatever it is that I'm doing.
I've never been a cashier or worked at HEB, but can you buy a standing mat?
I use this one with my standing desk and can stand there for hours. It's awesome. I have the 17 x 28 and it's not too big.
Think this will be okay? Because I really wanna wear it to work.
I got these and find them comfortable without the composite toe being too heavy. I would suggest whatever you go with, you get either composite or steel toe. Had a lot of people tell protecting your toes isn't necessary, and they're correct right up to the moment they're wrong. Being wrong about protecting your toes can hurt. A lot.
I’ve started using these about a month ago. I can’t give you any long term info but so far I’ve liked them a lot. I do need to add some non slip soles to them, but otherwise no conplaints so far, I like having the added protection from the steel-toe.
I’ve worked in Frozen and Dairy and these are what I’ve used for years Maxiflex 34-874 Ultimate Nitrile Grip Work Gloves, Large, 3 Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P4PJOWG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_MK825KSQZN4M8TADGTPM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can still use your phone too with them on.
1) not sure about editing your availability, but you should be able to see your shifts on the pnet app. Talk to admin and or your manager to edit availability. That question was asked when I signed on for all the paperwork.
2) if you’re sick stay home! Especially in this climate. Call whatever number you’ve got, if the store is open before your shift starts you could even call the store and ask for an MIC or the manager of (insert department)
They’re not going to give you hell over staying home right now. Just don’t no call no show. Do everything except that and you’ll be just fine
3) I came from food service too. Did you get new shoes when this job started? Get some solid insoles or just go for broke on a new pair of non slips. I got the sketchers work shoes from amazon and they’re amazing. $60 really well spent.
I wore crocs in the kitchen and assumed that was okay because the cooking connection guys wear them.....but apparently not. I burned $30 on a bad pair from Walmart that really messed up my feet, another $30 on the crocs to be told it’s unacceptable. The sketchers are legit
