I’ve owned the ‘20 Fuse 27.5 in green, and the ‘21 Fuse 27.5 in both colors (first was my warranty replacement which I sold early, thinking the Fuse Comp I was upgrading to was coming early, then bought another one to ride until selling a few weeks ago). You got lucky with that blue! I feel like the paint will hold up way better with the gloss instead of the satin. I didn’t own it long enough to tell lol.
It’s absolutely a beast. You can hit everything from chunky tech to flow trails and jumps. It’s really comfortable for long rides too. The Body Geometry Bridge saddle is pretty nice, and I’ve done 3-4 hour rides on that bike with no problem.
If you like technical terrain and climbing, I will recommend upgrading the rear tire to the Specialized Purgatory (in 3.0 for more cushion) and going tubeless. I didn’t keep the slaughter for more than a month, as it slips a lot on loose stuff or techy climbs. The other upgrade I would recommend is 40mm riser bars. I found the stock bars too wide and low, so I chose 700mm bars with a 40mm rise, and it’s much more comfortable on your lower back, and you can squeeze between tighter trees and stuff without clipping your bars. These are the bars that I went with, and they’re awesome.
This one just have it taped under there with the cap/tool end facing forward. Can unscrew it and get access without taking it off the seat.
Also doubles as a spoof crotch flashlight 😂
I've been recommended this fork by several people! I have a Novara Matador and will upgrade to this fork next summer! Maybe over the winter 🤔 Manitou Markhor
I'm sorry, it comes with the cable, but no outer cable housing. It won't work without the black outer housing to pull against. Here's what I ordered and used the outside and ends.

Got it on the Walmart website for 6$

And
I was about to buy a 1.2. I had it in my cart for a few weeks on REI, when I had the money saved to pull the trigger they were all sold out! Very happy with this one, rode her around the neighborhood yesterday. The trail test is this weekend.
So I have been eyeing these
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087JHL3Q2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_MANBAWDCF9PQEJTR99TB?psc=1
I like the slight mismatch of the silver ones with the red to match the frame. Not too bad of reviews on em either.
Thanks! I also bought a majority of my parts from AliExpress haha but did not like waiting a month to revive them. The gold Cranks were ixf and the black cranks were Shimano SLX The BB was the standard BB 68/73mm As for the fork it was a budget fork that actually was a nice upgrade from the stock coil spring. I didn’t think they were that good until I put my stock fork back on to see the difference, and man was there a difference. Although the budget fork had no rebound or adjustments it was a air fork that worked well enough for someone to get better at riding . I defiantly gained confidence and improved my trail riding with it. Hope this helps feel free if you have anymore questions

Wittkop Mountain Bike Seat Made... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0846269GS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. It's actually a really good seat this is my 2nd time buying it. Broke the last one when I flew over my handlebars lol
11 speed is rad. I put deore 11 on my brand new build. I have 12 speed Deore on another bike, and 12 speed XO1 on my bougie enduro bike, and my 11 speed Deore never makes me want to upgrade.
Also I wanted to mention getting a bike light that attaches to your seat instead of the post. I bought this cheap one https://www.amazon.com/Nkomax-Rechargeable-Waterproof-Intensity-Accessories/dp/B07DF8RTM4/. Nice to have a light that goes up and down with the saddle.
i bought this to use on my headset which is EC44/40 for the lower and ZS44/28 for the upper, worked pretty well.
haven't used it on PF BB personally but i don't see how it wouldn't.
It would be worth a double check but I think they are 29” and 2.3” wide, I’m uk based but picked them up on Amazon for £34 a piece. Try the link and that should take ya to em

These bikes rip, don't they?!?! So much fun when bombing down some hills.
I'm rocking a Granite Rockband strap. It is big enough to carry the 29" tube and two 25g CO2 cartridges.
https://www.amazon.com/Granite-Rockband-Carrier-Strap-Black/dp/B078HPJNP5/
they are these, i like them a lot since they're quite a bit longer than a lot of other grips
This is in the Clywydian range, around Moel Famau! Here's my route
Snowdon is meant to be a 10/10; be sure to check the times though, there's an agreement for bikes to stay off the summit paths at certain times of the year!
I love Wales though, even when it's busy it's really easy to get away from the crowds; the bike parks are all next level too!
Great to see you starting to ride! Even better riding together.
When you get some funds I’d say just buy the $25 Bell and don’t worry about getting a fullface until you’re riding drops and jumps.
Amazon special.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZYYBNGS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
I'm not really liking it as it sits to rearward and if i adjust it to not hit the lowest and highest gears, it doesn't seem to help with chain drop. That said, I wanted to see if it was even comparable to a big name chain guide (it's not) so i'm probably taking it off.
There are tools to make that job easier! Makes getting that last little bit of tire tucked in easy!

11x48 of the advent X
it climbs pretty steep hills with that combo. i do have bigger legs, and everyones legs are different. unsure if i could feel the oval difference or not, but it likely helped without having any funky feeling Cons
In case it helps I bought these crossbar adapter things when I was running a hanging rack like you are and it allowed my bikes to not have one wheel so close to the ground or in danger of roasting by the tailpipe:
I got This one, because it included a chain ring and bottom bracket.
It's a cheap bottom bracket. It works perfect, but I won't be surprised in the least if it breaks. When that happens I'll upgrade it. The crankset itself is pretty solid, and mostly importantly doesn't have crappy branding all over it. Surprisingly the chainring it came with (not the oval one I have now) is fantastic
Ultimately I got it because it was $55 and I'm on a budget lol
agreed! color is what made it jump out at me when i saw it at the store. the grips are vans x cult in gum, i believe they have a lock on version as well if thats more your style

It is ok, the clamp is not very big so can’t really grab onto chunky-er frames. Wish I spent a bit more and got something better.
I have several pair of Pearl Izumis, zoic & Louis Garneau but these from Amazon are super comfy, breathable, inexpensive and hold up well to the laundry https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CH29VJ9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Here’s what I bought but there are plenty of competing options out there:
https://www.amazon.ca/Rainproof-Bicycle-Mountain-Outdoor-Accessories/dp/B083QF9YZT
In this I fit a multi tool, chain tool, CO2 cartridge, tire levers, some shop towels and there’s still some space to add some other things if you need it. It certainly adds weight to the bike, but I’m not a pro so an extra pound or two won’t make a difference to my performance!
Thanks! They are some I found on Amazon. I wasn't sure if it would have any when I ordered it from CRC, so I ordered them a few days ago. It actually came with some black platform pedals but I figured I already bought these so I should try them out. They had decent reviews and looked cool, and that's something easy enough to change if they had issues. Plus, I had a gift card. The link to them is below:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BRS6MH1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Puromo flat pedals. Super cheap, work well, lots of grip.
I highly recommend the Ergon SMC Sport Gel Men’s saddle. I have this one and it’s by far the most comfortable thing I’ve ever used. It remains comfortable for long rides too. Definitely worth it on a Nukeproof. Same goes for Ergon grips like the GE1 Evo, or the GA3 grips :)

My wife uses this other one ( cause her frame cannot fit my bag, which I like better: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RR1WX8Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_TOYUFbGM7YGHT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Both are great in different ways. We've had others, but we've settled on these ones.
AINAAN Bicycle Front Beam... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T12N4MY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I bought this for my bike, Velcro pouch that sits on the main rail. Phone stays jn the clear face of the pouch. Good for just phone/keys/wallet.
The set up I am using, which is kind of cheap, but works great is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXKQ9RG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on my handle bars
and
I have this velcro(3m extreme) to the front of my helmet, and its like day light out.
These are the bars I got, they’re only 700mm long instead of 780, which I also find way more comfortable and appropriate for the bike. I was riding with the wife bars for a month or so, and kept clipping trees with my bar ends, and it just felt too wide.
I don’t think there is one. Here’s a link to the one that I’ve used for months, it’s been great! I had the size small first and it was too small, but the Medium fits great! And there’s several colors to choose from.
I got these for my Fuse as well as my Sirrus X. They put you a little more upright which takes pressure off your hands/wrists, and lower back. It changes the ride and makes it way more comfortable. Paired with Ergon GE1 Evo grips makes it a beast!
If you do a lot of night/low-light riding anywhere near a road these are a nice compromise for the wheels. They’re pretty unobtrusive and effective.
