You should make a 30 sec animated explainer video. Video needs to be much simpler and end with a call to action. People don't need to understand the science: "Get paid to poop and help people." That's enough. https://www.fiverr.com/categories/video-animation/whiteboard-explainer-videos Also hire someone on fivver to do the voiceover.
You should also contact everyone again and ask them why they didn't respond. Otherwise you'll only keep guessing as to why. And actually a 2 to 5 % response rate for cold emailing isn't that bad. You need to treat this like a startup. Look up startup marketing tactics. https://www.amazon.com/Traction-Startup-Achieve-Explosive-Customer/dp/1591848369 Recommended book.
I have been suffering from CFS for about a year now. Ever since I introduced resistant starch into my diet my health has been rapidly improving by the day. It’s remarkable. When researching the benefits of butyrate I realized that every single benefit seemingly correlated with something that would benefit me from a biochemistry standpoint, from immunity to inflammation to mood and cognition, butyrate can do it all. I’ve convinced that disruption in the human microbiome is causing most chronic diseases. I think genetic susceptibility ultimately determines what kind of disease you’re going to get, but the root cause is usually found in the microbiome, in mineral balancing, and in mitochondrial health.
If anyone else with CFS is reading this, here’s what I’ve been using: Lifesource Foods Resistant Corn Starch 260 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AU2FUZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hznaEbBFBYY78
Also, if you have CFS then you probably have mitochondrial damage. Supplements to bring you out of this state of mitochondrial dysfunction include magnesium, ubiquinol, nicotinamide riboside, PQQ, resveratrol, quercetin and beef liver / cod liver oil for retinol (you have to increase ceruloplasmin because copper plays an essential role in the electron transport chain). I could post tons of supplements but these should be enough to take you far. Basically you have to increase NAD+ levels and activate stuff like SIRT1 and PGC-1a in order to push mitochondrial fission so mutated mtDNA can be recognized and mitophagy can take place. Over time your mitochondria will be essentially cleaned up and replaced.
But really, resistant starch is a game changer for people with CFS. If you get problems as soon as you eat food, it very well might be a problem with your colon and enteric nervous system. Focus on colon health and butyrate-producing bacteria. Colostrum-LD is good too.
That's interesting. Thanks for sharing. I have heard of people doing Wim Hof breathing for similar issues, because it also oxygenates the tissues more than regular breathing would. If you're worried about HBOT long term then you might give Wim Hof a try instead.
Having no gas doesn't mean no microbiome because people with healthy microbiomes don't get excess gas. Improved gut motility could also be the reason for no gas. And good gut motility helps prevent a bad gut microbiome from forming, because it keeps flora from moving into parts of the digestive tract where it doesn't belong. Gut motility is controlled by the autonomic nervous system, which is impaired in people experiencing ME/CFS.
Not sure how HBOT would help with that, but if the tissues are properly oxygenated then mitochondrial energy production would be better and I suppose the ANS would also work better. I wonder if oxygenation would help switch on the parasympathetic nervous system, which would help with gut motility.
If you're wondering about your gut microbiome there are commercial stool tests available. I did Sun Genomics once and it gave me some pretty detailed info.
I think I've read that mold toxicity impairs tissue oxygenation. If you're interested in diving deeper into the mold toxicity hypothesis check out Dr. Neil Nathan's book, Toxic. He's got very good info for testing and treating mold toxicity.
Since you have ME/CFS I would be remiss if I didn't tell you about the Gupta Program in case you haven't heard of it.
Congrats on finding something that's making you feel better! I want to give HBOT a try sometime.
Depends on what you want from a site.
It seems you want a wiki? You also want to be able to have discussions. So something like a Vbulletin site might fit the bill. Vbulletin as a few options. You can buy a VB license and then sign up on a webhosting site like GoDaddy and set up your own forum.
Or Vbulletin has a cloud option where they run the site for you. You don't have to buy or maintain a site or do backups. But the cheapest plan is about $180 a year. https://www.vbulletin.com/en/vbcloud-features/
You can add a wiki via https://www.vaultwiki.org/
Histamine degrading probiotics I use are:
i also supplemented with 370 mg bile. it only helps a bit, just like hcl.
it takes me on average 2500 mg hcl until i start burping too much acid. so that means i have enough stomach acid?
carbs is the thing which gives me problems.

^ this makes my belly hurt a lot.
gluten croissant from a can gives me bloating, but gluten free from can gives me less bloating.
gluten sandwich doesnt give me bloating.
fruits dont give me bloating. neither fat or protein foods.
only processed carbs.
i might have libo. butno idea how to cure that.
peppermint doesnt help at all. the medication whichs removes gas in your intestine also doesnt work.
iberogast helps a bit, sometimes, not always.
i tried l-glutamine, it didnt help with leaky gut.
For the tendinitis and pain, I wholeheartedly recommend curcumin, specifically Doctor’s Best High Absorption with piperine. I take 1000-1500 mg a day and my pain is near-zero now. I can’t believe how well it works for inflammation and pain, and this specific product has been independently tested by Consumer Labs to be the real deal and the type and dose used in studies on curcumin’s effect on arthritis/pain/inflammation.
Yes, I dealt with lifelong anxiety and digestive problems. The single best digestive supplement I used to deal with both of them is mastic gum. It's a potent herbal antibacterial and antifungal. It will clear out any overgrowth you have in the small intestine, which is what I believe is at the root of anxiety. The brand I used was called Pylori Plex by Douglas Laboratories but I've heard good things about the Jarrow brand as well. Good luck.
Based on the outline of your diet, I’d be thinking mineral deficiencies, like copper, zinc, boron and magnesium. Probably folate and riboflavin.
You’ll find out rather quickly by using cronometer - just means habitually weighing your food and logging it for a while, along with your dietary supplements.
The first week is somewhat annoying, as it’s a usually clunky and cumbersome learning process, but becomes 30 seconds/ meal once you get into the swing of it.
You can also create “recipes” of things you eat regularly and supplement, which takes most of the “effort” out of it.
The most similar things I can think of would be Daylio and this https://gyrosco.pe/. I want to make something more customizable to individual health needs but that can also aggregate signals across the population. This way it could infer both effects that are individual, but also effects that are global and would be too close to the noise floor at an individual level. I'm going to start by just making it for myself and may expand from there. Let me know if you want to discuss further and we can do a call
Article says lysozyme 1 is an antimicrobial peptide:
>Paneth cells secrete antimicrobial peptides to the intestinal lumen that guard against bacterial intruders who happen to come too close. Among these peptides is the intestine-abundant lysozyme 1 (Lyz1)
Web search says it's an enzyme: https://www.ecosia.org/search?q=lysozyme+1 - https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/neuroscience/lysozyme
Thank you. The problem with iherb and EU are shipping and taxes. It can get ridiculously expensive since sometimes you might need to pay for extra testing as well. Then you tell them to return the package to iherb and then iherb receives back the package and stops communication when you want your money back. I've been there :)
This says it all I guess..
I was just reading on phages and lo and behold; found your posts on phoenix rising forum! :,)
Interesting stuff. I'm very curious about the Russians and would love to see it in practice. Your updates were amazing though and it was interesting to observe that little experiment.
Also, opinions seem very divided on stool testing.. do you have an opinion on something like this? I was considering it with zonulin add-on but would rather put my money to a better use of there is no practical use for this.
It's a component of human breast milk. Human Milk Oligosaccharide. I only know of it in supplement form.
I came across some people who were using API Quick Start, a product to help establish new aquariums, as a MotherDirt alternative. It contains nitrosomonas eutropha and nitrobacter winogradski and it doesn't seem to require refrigeration.
I use the mineral salt crystals it works really well, lasts long, has no residue and is ultra cheap.
As I understand it works by naturally inhibiting or neutralizing the foul smelling bacteria under my armpits.
Something like this:

I will probably try to introduce fermented foods soon, it was on my mind as of late. I had brief positive success with Yakult probiotics as I mentioned in another comment. I had been regularly taking fish oil for nearly a year but recently stopped after realizing it was actually exacerbating my insomnia and even causing brain fog, strangely enough. There were similar reports on /r/Nootropics, I'm not entirely sure why it has this effect on some people but not others. It did seem to have a positive effect on my acne.
Behavior is the root of the problem. You're right there are, without a doubt, many things we can do and I believe in our ability to solve our way out of this problem, eventually.
However, I'm just pessimistic that it can be solved before it becomes a major health problem. Any solution we come up with, including filters, will involve significant behavior change and that is slow to occur especially in countries like the U.S where everyday Americans have a fear of the word mandate.
I just wish politicians and companies could solve problems before they happen. Recently read an awesome book by Dan Heath that does a deep dive into our inability to prevent problems from ever occurring.
Basically this one:

If i need to do another one I will use a different method. The scraping/tear element of using a kit like that is real. And the whole experience was pretty uncomfortable. Took me 3 or 4 trial runs with water before I found the level of depth needed to avoid leaks!
This is where I ordered. Not an endorsement, I’m sure there are better places. Microbiome Plus Gastrointestinal Probiotics L Reuteri NCIMB 30242 GI Digestive Supplements, Allergy Safe & Gluten Free for Men and Women (1 Month Supply) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MEG1Y9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p5jAFb9HFDM27
This! I don’t blame you. I had what I think was fungal acne on my forehead. I always thought it was a sugar thing, but now I’m wondering if it’s fat! It was very frustrating to deal with, and still isn’t perfect but is much better than it was. I use this in the pm and de la Cruz sulfur in the am and it helped. I also think washing my face with warm water makes it worse, cool water seems to be better. None of the other topical things I tried did anything at all, and I have a whole basket full of skincare products that are about to expire.

What I am planning to do is getting a yoghurt pH meter, and checking if the pH of the yoghurt correlates with my ability to tolerate it without an urgent bowel movement soon after, and what is the cut-off. Because anything sour gives me a similar reaction, even a fruit. The thing is the level of sourness in yoghurt which triggers it is so small, that its hard to tell until eating a significant amount of it, and then its too late. So I am thinking a pH meter would help, there are ones made especially for yoghurt, because it needs a special probe, eg: https://www.amazon.com/Apera-Instruments-Food-Grade-Stainless-Anti-Contamination/dp/B01F34Y7XS/
I avoid fluoridated toothpaste, and instead use Waleda's Salt Toothpaste. Your first instinct may be that salt toothpaste would be abrasive, but in fact, it is one of the least abrasive toothpastes. In addition to that, the salt helps keep the salivary glands active, which in turn helps keep bacteria at bay. I also switched to a ketogenic diet, which seems to have made a huge difference. When I was a vegetarian, I ate very "healthY" but had frequent cavities. Since going paleo, I've had far fewer cavities and my teeth feel cleaner, even right after eating.
I had issues with digesting fats till very recently. Currently the price is the main thing keeping me from that product. It's double the cost of this one that I was buying: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CTCATS4
The first prebiotics you mentioned doesn't look like it will get restocked. But here's an another company that has the same exact ingredients: https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Tobias-Ultimate-Prebiotic-Complement/dp/B01FICESXE/ref=sr_1_6_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1520951526&sr=1-6
BTW I have tried this prebiotics, but I can't vouch for it, but there seems to be some evidence for it.

potato hack book is 6 bux on amazon and revolves around it. They list other sources of resistant starch as well. I hate sounding like a salesman, but it really is that good of a book. He even lists the bacterial strains for "healthy" people doing FMT, so he really is looking at the problem as a whole, not just trying to sell a fad diet. Read from front to back, amazing book that i would feel bad if i listed every good nugget from.
Try the potato diet for prebiotic goodness

(simplified: cook potatoes normally, cool them to 17deg f. turns startch into RS3 (see resistant starch article above)) reheat however you want and eat only that for 3 to 5 days. Feel the weight loss and tasty goodness!
The vast majority will soften poop. What side effects come with that will vary from person to person.
S.Boulardii, this one, pro-15, etc., all seem to have similar effects. Even phages.
