id suggest grabbing a couple packets of the malibu hard water wellness treatment off amazon and using that first, it will help remove the buildup so you get the full benefit of your other treatments - your hair will just overall feel a LOT better too. :) They're about 3-4 bucks each.
Its really easy to use, just shampoo, rinse, then mix the powder in the packet with water (use distilled for best results) and scrub it into the hair for 5 minutes before rinsing again. Then you can do your olaplex treatment without worries.
Longterm, sprite makes a great filter you can put on your showerhead (its really easy to install, just screws right on) from Lowes for about $20 that will filter out all the mineral buildup.
Products (all from Sunday Riley): Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment - 1 oz. truly spectacular in lightening my sun spots and has improved my skin overall Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream - 1.7 oz. I love how moisturizing it is and that it gives a nice instant “brightening effect” Spatula (highly recommend to get every drop in bottles) - Spatty in pink (from Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CXUHP6W/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_wTXaGbFC2B4D6
Luna Sleeping Night Oil - 1.18 oz. I use this as the last step in my evening routine 2-3 times a week
A+ High Dose Retinoids Serum - 1 oz. I use this every night after my serum but before my moisturizer. I don’t have sensitivity to retinol products.
C.E.O Vitamin C Rich Moisture Cream - 1.7 oz. I haven’t started using this yet but have been using the C.E.O. vitamin C Serum instead from SR and absolutely love that.
Even though I know that SR is expensive, esp. when you purchase it full price, but I think they are worth it. I usually find deals online (through Ipsy and other online retailers and subscription boxes) so I will keep using (and repurchasing). I don’t think I would have been exposed to so many different SR products without trying them through Ipsy, so I’m thankful!
Ohh! I'm late to the party, but I wanna play!
For the stuff I use every day/nearly every day, i have one of these in my bathroom: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088GRHR55/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and for long term storage, I have not one, but TWO of these: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/moppe-mini-storage-chest-birch-plywood-40216357/
The ikea drawers are painted with black chalk paint and lined with black velvet drawer liners.
So fancy!
Amazon is the seller in my case. Here's a link to the one I bought.Haus Laboratories Burlesque Lipstick
I also found a mention of it on trustpilot. If I'm reading the reviews correction it seems it is linked with another brand called eclatskinlondon. Here's the link:
I tried to find the most current one I could. I hope you can stump your little sisters with something! :)
Thank you 💅They are the Kiss imPress press on nails, super simple to put on and long-lasting!
I’m looking for a solution to the same issue. Here is what I’ve found so far:
Sorbus Cosmetic Makeup and Jewelry Storage Case Display - Spacious Design - Great for Bathroom, Dresser, Vanity and Countertop (3 Large, 4 Small Drawers, Black Jewel) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B079ZZDP7V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xe2gFbT32VB5Z

I haven’t decided which I want to try.
I’m not sure if it’s helpful because I can barely see them on the picture, but I purchased some “watermelon” earrings from amazon that look rainbowy. Maybe search that way?

I found an interview with the nail polish company owner and, on naming her colors, she said:
>I love wordplay. I love a name that, when you say it, sounds
familiar but has a fresh twist. For example “Fuchsia Tips” sounds like
“future tips.” Or “Spear Me” sounds like “Spearmint,” and the color is
similar to the packaging used for spearmint gum.
So it does seem like it's more of a light green than neon.
They also have it on (Groupon)[https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-sweet-pineapple-and-melon-moisturizer-duo-17-oz-225-oz?utm_source=anonymous&utm_campaign=UserReferral_ma] with a mini. You can use a coupon code like 'SAVE'.
I'd definitely test this out first if possible, but if they're a powder product you should be able to dig the makeup out of the pan and put it into a new one. Use a drop of rubbing alcohol (add another drop or two as needed) and you can reform it back into another pan. Amazon sells empty palettes--here's a 12 pan and two four pans.
It’s interesting. I looked it up on Amazon and there are so many! I saw one that also holds the brushes to dry! I might try it.

I don't think there's a big difference between them really. I usually use CND's SolarOil and I just got a bottle of NCLA's So Rich cuticle oil in the Horchata scent from Fab Fit Fun (it smells pretty nice!) but in a pinch I've used coconut oil.
I use a cuticle spoon after I shower to gently scrape any dead cuticle skin that's stuck to my nails and push back the cuticles. Then I put a drop of oil on each nail and let it soak in. After a few minutes I wash my hands using a nail brush and that scrubs away the dead and dry bits of cuticle. You'll want to be gentle, but if you do this a few times a week your cuticles will clean up nicely.
**I have this cuticle spoon and I really like it. It's got a good curve, and the bevel is sharp enough to scrape well but not so sharp that you're likely to cut anything.

If you like stuff that smells like "old lady rose" you should try the Feel Harmony Facial Mask. It has actual rose petals in it. I got a tub of it as an add-on a while back, and the consistency is, well, interesting. But the scent is very rosy.

Strong recommendation for the Wahl Lithium pen trimmer which you can get on Amazon for <$15. It’s surprisingly hard to find a decent one of these and this is the best I’ve ever found.
I was just sending you this: grandmas secret spot remover. You can buy it at ace hardware if you don’t get it at amazon. It has to be these 2oz bottle. I swear by this stuff!

Just jumping in to add O'Keeffe's Working Hands hand cream to your list of things to try. It's definitely not luxe but it fixes my so-dry-they're-bleeding hands every winter!
I bought small plastic jars from amazon with screw caps. I have one of those makeup spatulas so I could scrape out all the remaining product. It should be tight enough that your product should be safe...then you can dip your brush or blender in the jar...
I keep my travel size in empty Bath and Body Works candle jars.
I have some of my sample size in a trinket box sort of like this, the ones that are still carded are in a basket. https://www.amazon.com/Vintiquewise-QI003691-G-Decorative-Vintage-Box-Green/dp/B084MMZXGD?th=1

Has anyone tried those reusable silicon sheet mask holders? They basically slip over your sheet mask to keep it in place. Total game changer.

Here ya go. They work really great and aren’t flimsy. Only thing is I read in the comments you can’t use acetone on them to clean up the edges. They melt apparently. I haven’t tried though.
Micellarwater hands down. Its not oily. I get the waterproof kind. Dona price check at Target Walmart etc. sometimes Amazon has it for the same price.

I’d get this one off Amazon instead. It’s $10 cheaper and you can return it if something goes wrong (unlike Ipsy…..)
111Skin Nocturnal Eclipse Recovery Cream is the thickest I've gotten from Ipsy, but the MSRP is absurd (like $280). There is a good brand you can get on Amazon called Raya with awesome products for a super affordable price. Their Collagen Elastin cream is the thickest I have tried but it bordered on feeling greasy so I only used it at night. One perk for Raya is that they send you a free sample of another product with every purchase.
I also agree with the recommendations for you to try a facial oil. It makes a huge difference in my skin, and I love the ones (Herbivore Emerald and Blue Lapis) I received from Ipsy.
This is the link for the Raya cream that I mentioned. I use this stuff daily on my ends. My hair is 100% straw without it. I buy mine from Winners!
ps it smells AMAZING too
I received these in a previous month’s Ipsy bag and they are just ok. While they do cut down on dry time and frizziness, they have some drawbacks. First, the material sticks to any dry skin you may have. My hands stay dry in the winter so these towels are constantly sticking to my hands. The loop at the end of the towels is tiny and it is difficult to get it looped around the button in the back. Also, if you have longer and/or thicker hair, they may not be long or big enough to work for you.
I found a better hair turban from Kitsch here that I like a lot better. I actually got it from an Ipsy set called Healthy Haircare in the shop. It was $16 and came with a scalp treatment that my hubby really likes. The Kitsch one is softer, doesn’t stick to my dry skin, fits mine and my daughter’s hair perfectly, dries quicker and reduces my frizz better. I’m not crazy about the “palm leaves” color I received, but with as well as it works, it’s not that big of a deal.
Less absorbent wipes/pads are the key (unless you just want to use your hands). I love these (I learned about them in school and have using them ever since):

Based on the reviews that I’ve seen, I would skip this one. There are several good trimmers available that have much better reviews and cost much less. Personally I use this trimmer from Wahl and I absolutely love it. If you liked the Zoe Ayla one for the color, there are similar colored ones at both Target and Walmart that have good prices and positive reviews.
lol, you can't say anything negative about Ipsy in this thread without being downvoted to oblivion. Peddling only positive comments is how Ipsy stays powerful. It amazes me that people are okay with drug store products like Wet n Wild and Avon. Here's what people have to say about Avon: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/avon.com.

I just ordered this pillowcase 🤞 hopefully it will be nice. The reviews seem to be good and not a bad price 🤷
That's great advice 👍 thank you so much 💕 I didn't order it. I already have a polyester pillowcase I thought was silk. So many companies claim it's satin or silk when really it's polyester 🤢 you really have to look at the material list, I sent an hour last night and found one that is real silk, has good reviews and for a reasonable price.

Since you asked:
When I signed up for Ispy, I was floored by the bright side: top notch website, flawless aesthetics, clean & beautiful product photography, cleverly written copy, good prices and wide array of products. But after a while, the business owner side of me began to have some questions and raise a couple red flags, I began to wonder: "Is it just me, or do others have the similar issues?" So I did a bit of research.
https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/ipsy.com
https://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/ipsy.html
And this from Glassdoor.com. It is simply the first review that comes up on 8/6/2020:
"Senior Growth Program Manager Interview Anonymous Interview Candidate Negative Experience Average Interview Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ipsy in July 2020.
Interview
Video call with team member, followed by take home assignment. Take home project was solving a problem they are directly working on (one of my major pet peeves) asking how to increase retention in one quarter.
I signed up for ipsy as part of the project research flow. I emailed the recruiter asking if they had any test accounts or discount codes I would use, and was told no. After gathering the info I needed, I attempted to cancel my subscription.
No lie it took me two days to cancel. Almost the impossible to do. The dark patterns were astounding, super unethical and possibly illegal. This alone turned me off from ipsy.
Oh, then they ghosted me and did not follow up with feedback after I had spent several hours carefully crafting and submitting a product roadmap. Not good people."
Those are just acrylic. The two clear organizers came as a single unit, but you can move the pieces around to create whatever configuration you need. Link
Lol here's the link for the mirror. It has different color settings for indoor, outdoor, and neutral lighting, which is really nice. Also a smaller, detachable 10x mirror. The only downside is that it's really hard to clean around all those bulbs.
You can get it on Amazon. DPG is also a good option if you want to make rollerball oils.
Sometimes the heavy stinky ones turn out to have something more subtle going on when diluted a bit.

You can also get empty rollerball bottles and atomizers on Amazon...and probably even cheaper elsewhere.
Fun new hobby!
I got this one and I really like it. Ignore that it says 21 days. It's more like 10-12 days but I still find it is way better than traditional polish. Thanks! About a kid off Amazon for doing gel nails. This is my first attempt. So far they've lasted I think a week. That I have had great results with and it’s so cheap. You are right i might skip it. Use the $60 and actually buy things I want. Plus I loathe the kardashians and of course they added their own stuff in there
Hey this is the magnetic sticker set that I bought for depotting. They work great - no problems at all with them coming unstuck! It even comes with a little spatula to help pry the pans out of their packaging, which is awesome :)
This was what I wrote in the the post meant for you lol...
The link below is for the exact ones I got from Amazon a while back & LOVE!!! They don’t move around on your head at all when secured, feel/work GREAT & are only $10 for a 6-pack of them!
They’re adjustable (& reversible) & feel great on your head when you have it nice & snug, & I even sleep in them sometimes! I know some pics seem to show them being used w/the adjustable Velcro part placed at the top of your head, but I place/use them the opposite way, w/that part the back of my head, secured under my hair in back.

Oh, I never thought of that. I've looked into a solution and I think a pressurized pump plunger might help prevent it. I dunno. Thanks for making me aware that this could happen.
hmm. I mean I already have it downloaded on my android, but I searched in Google play and found it. I don't know, that so weird. here's a link, idk if this will work
Just to add on, Jojoba oil is amazing. It is really similar to the oils your body produces, and because of that it can be absorbed really easily by the skin. I've had really great results with just applying pure jojoba oil or a jojoba + vit e mix once or twice a day followed by a lotion to lock it in. I fill these little brush things with the oil and take them with me to work. There's like no mess and it works so well! Just make sure to get under your nail if you're wearing polish, because this stuff is great for creating flexible + strong nails, which prevents breakage.
