the reviewer has been answering some questions https://letterboxd.com/thewesk/film/it-2017/ someone mentioned about (apparently) the "manhattan project" folks' negative video review and here is what he answered:
"I guess everyone's taste is different. The humor is primarily coming from a bunch of pre-teen's perspectives so I think it was very appropriate. I definitely jumped at a few parts. I just watched Annabelle and while that was good IT was much better. Having read the Steven King book , the story has some cheesiness (like many King stories) but this movie is in my top 5 of the year so far (with Dunkirk, Baby Driver, Wind River and Wonder Woman)"
Sounds like almost like: Munchausen Syndrome by proxy Though I never read the book.. she just wants him to be “sick” to have someone to rely on her.
Some in-depth reviews here. Most seem to really like it, but there are a lot of negatives raised - and a couple people that gave it 2/5. Think this is where OP has seen all the negatives: https://letterboxd.com/film/it-2017/reviews/by/activity/
If you click on the 'rated' bit, you can seen that most gave it 4/5 stars.
I wish the artist had a public album somewhere; he's made so many incredible things, ranging from fan pieces like this to an adult coloring book of fantasy-themed portraits that he released on Amazon (OK, so that one is public so I had to share).
I was referring to all the funkos in general sadly. Like you the only pennywise I can find is the spider legs one. Also none of them are on amazon UK for us Brits sadly ):
Ok, so, i transcribe some of the not-so-good reviews you can find here.

-Every time something “scary” happens it is accompanied by a barrage of loud orchestral music, making me think of the jump scare happy horror movies from the previous decade. Muschietti doesn’t build any tension before trying to scare the audience (nor does he effective establish the characters before the scares start). I also felt like there was a surprising lack of It throughout the movie. (by bho)
-IT treats many of its "scare" scenes as almost stand-alone sequences, that really less on eerie tension and more on grating noises and toothy creatures bum rushing the camera.
(by graham austin)
-The film falls into familiar territory of conventional horror films with countless jump scares.
(by Justice-Noah Malfitano).
-Muschietti relies too heavily on the need to shout in your face whenever something is supposed to be SCARY, which isn’t very effective. Remove the constant jump scares and you've got a great movie. (by Parish Malfitano).
-Too many jump scares...not enough character development. I wanted more just hanging with the kids, cause the first half jump scares just got repetitive. I also feel like twenty minutes of character development was cut because there was some real awkward transistions and character jumps. (by DrewValentine)
-The scares throughout the movie were more fun scares and truly tailor-made for a large audience. (by kwang)
Niiiiice! I saw one I had not seen until yesterday at Target, Pennywise the Dancing Clown edition. Had his all of his monster rendition parts. Sick looking. I don’t see it in your collection. They have it on Amazon.
