It contains the text, in what looks to me like Jerry's own handwriting, "A group of recently arrived re-animants wandered off from the steppe camp and set up their tents overlook ing Oum Lake". An arrow is drawn curving southward from the text, to a small circled area, which must be the encampment itself. It, as the text describes, overlooks Oum Lake which takes up the southern border of the panel.
I found this particularly interesting because it is lore for the map's world written onto the map itself. It speaks about a particular group of people and their lives, which I've not heard of from Jerry before.
What I have heard of though, through his recent podcast interview with /u/Sprutnums, is what Jerry seems to be calling "re-animants". Jerry has called the world a "zoo" created by higher beings, who take the dead from our world and let them live a new life in this new world. I believe the re-animants are those inhabitants of the world that he's talking about here, forming a new camp separate from their original one on the steppe.
If you are referring to the pens, I use Pigma Microns, and I bet most people here can vouch that they work well. You can find them on amazon or at an art store or something. If you want some variance in the width of the lines, I would say get something like these. Happy mapping :)
