This is the one my little guy wears :) Rechargeable and a great price. Only downside was I had to measure it and cut it to size, and that took a couple tries lol. Either way, we love it, works great!

We bought one from Amazon that has worked well for us. He's fully grown, so I'm not sure how it would translate for a pupper. It has multiple adjustable straps which help it fitting properly. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00164SZMO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_2jTUAb7QTEAAK). We also ordered a handsfree leash with multiple hand holds that I found helpful in teaching him not to pull, and it's great for hikes. Happy birthday to my 4 year old today!

This is the tool my groomer and I use. It works really well
We did a combo of harness, collar, and “naked” as a puppy. (Puppies can get collars caught on a crate and panic.)
Once close to adult we went with a rolled leather collar all the time like my childhood kees had.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0192CJM6Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have this one. It's been going strong after 6 months and looks brand new. Mine likes to dig on his mats so they don't tend to last this long. It has a companion mat cover that's well worth it and helps protect it.
The cooling mat is the only way mine uses his dog bed. Otherwise he'd sleep on the tile the entire time (which honestly, he still does).

we have this for our kees. She took to it immediately and often lays there after a walk. Though soemtimes she still perfers the tile floor in the kitchen.
Haven't tried it but I looked into cooling mats in case I would end up needing one. The one I found being mentioned the most was the Green Pet Shop Dog Cooling Mat.

Glad she's feeling better now too!
And my girl turned 1 last month and is only now getting cuddly and only when she feels like it haha. It'll come with time.
And yes to the lick mats! She would not put up with me brushing her without one. There are so many lick mats and they're all great, I like this one from aquapaw because it has suction cups on the back so I can stick it to my patio door so she'll stand while I brush her. Freeze some baby food on that and we're good to go!
Good luck! You have a beautiful puppy, even with her fur being a little uneven for a while, she's still gorgeous
Here's a link to the one I use with Bruiser. It looks very similar to the Feel Active that u/Character-Reading posted. It does look a little strange now that his fur is getting quite thick, but he seems comfortable in it and he loves putting it on because it means he's going somewhere fun.
I’ve used this front leader harness by easy walk. Both of my boys have been stubborn on walks and like to plant or pull.
I use a harness with mine. Other people have posted great options for them, so I won't post any links to them. The collar I use can help with matting issues around the neck. The breeder I went to recommended them, and it does help! I've had the same collar since he was 1.5 years old.

I can't find the exact one we use for Yuki but this is a similar styled one.

SHE TOO used to get chaffing in her armpits. This style of harness stopped that. It is not the most rugged but the material vs. a strap under the pits has been better.
It's very hard doing it without water. With water it washes right out after 10-20 seconds from a high pressure showerhead. Works wonders. And yeah, what everyone else said about dog food. Try some fish-based, grain free dog food. We have a friend's German Shepard who is swapping to this in order to make his stool look less like soft serve:

When I used to show my Keeshonden, I used Chris Christensen White on White (it's useful for all colors, in spite of the name). Although you didn't ask, I also find a good finishing spray is awesome. Again, from my show days, I liked Crown Royale and that concentrate bottle will last years.
We use a rake comb akin to this one once a week. We live in Florida so she doesn't really have a "blow her coat" season, it's just all undercoat all the time. We bathe her every few months for maximum fluffiness. We just use the plain ol' oatmeal shampoo and conditioner for her, nothing special.
Congrats and good luck! They can be rather challenging as puppies but worth it later, I promise!
I think it's a roll of the dice. Our Kees really freaks out when she hears something out of the norm but the rest of the time she's relatively quiet and chill.
And it helps that when she would go overboard as a puppy we would tell her to stop, "come here" and give her one of these when she quieted down. She goes MENTAL for those. They are amazing training treat (to use sparingly - I don't think too many are good for them).
