6 week old kittens should not be by themselves. Get another one same age or older. They really shouldn't leave their mom until 8 or 9 weeks.

By shoving your cat away, you're saying, "Let's play rough." Kittens like to play rough. So, you're giving your cat mixed signals by raising your voice while also playing rough. You need to redirect its play attack to another toy -- your cat is just treating you like another cat and wondering why you don't like to play.

Also, cats don't see you as master. You are another big animal in shared territory. You don't want the cat to think of you as an adversary competing for everything in the space -- you want to be your cat's friend. That means your presence should = food, treats, playtime, pets. When the cat is aggressive like this, you say, "Ow! No!" (you also need to be less aggressive than you were in the video). If you have a big kicker toy, you would just grab that toy and poke the cat with it -- then the cat would grab the kicker toy.

I've raised a couple that were around that age. I used the royal food with baby milk plus additional mothers milk. I now have 4 grown ladies doing well. But as the others say def get it checked out by a vet if you are able.

Stuff some fresh cat nip inside it, maybe that will help! I have this one toy that’s a circle with a feather toy that it spins around that my cats like! It’s nice to have automatic/mechanical toys for them if you need to work or clean or something! My cats also really like the laser pointer which is an easy way to get them to run back and forth without much effort. Put a treat on the ground and land the pointer on it to end playing

We had to buy a small lighter blowtorch to be able to seal the ends after cutting them (a normal lighter would honestly be fine but I think my boyfriend was just excited to have the excuse to buy a blowtorch lol), but otherwise these cord protectors are awesome! Best part is that since they’re split sleeve and not a tube you don’t have to run the cord through them, which makes it wayyy easier to cover cords for things you can’t really unplug or that have battery packs on them. We bought the 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch ones then covered the cords that were most likely to be messed with and we haven’t had any problems since! They’ve been on for about 6 months now and haven’t shown any signs of coming off either, even after we moved.

Also other lower-stakes things that sort of count as kitten proofing include lidded trash cans, not leaving fragile/loose/small things out on counters or shelves, and potentially tying curtains up (we just took off the ones that were right next to the cat tree.) However, every cat/kitten is different, so ultimately it’s a toss up on whether or not you’ll need to cat proof your entire house versus only a couple of things. My two kittens love to cause mayhem in their own ways. One likes to snatch things from the trash or intentionally drop his toys into water bowls; meanwhile his sister has taken to stealing pens, unraveling toilet paper rolls, and has been caught literally swinging from curtains. You just have to stay on your toes!
