4.8 is about the least expensive LS you’ll find. More displacement equals bigger price tag. I purchased my swap engine from a guy in KY that specializes in these swap engines. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/280532445993997/ here’s a link to his market place page.
The exhaust pipes require a 'offset inlet/center outlet' what does this mean exactly the positioning of the muffler under the car?
Yeah and they are great units. They are actually 41.5lb/hr at our rail pressure and they are not made by Fast (just re-packaged and sold by them). They are OEM GM GTP /ASA injectors. They have full short-pulse and offset data and operate just as crisp as your OEM units. They are taller. They are "car" height, so you need this rail spacer kit to run them: https://www.amazon.com/SPACER-Siemens-Injectors-Intake-551305/dp/B01CZ0EQX4 You will also need the electrical adapters, but they are in that Amazon link in the also-purchased / purchased with area.
Nah the flex 50s are LS3/7 height units.. He's looking LS1/6 or 2 intake (diff all together but LS3 rail is same) and they are much taller. You have to use something goof like this: https://www.amazon.com/Injector-Spacer-Intake-Manifold-Adapter/dp/B071W1KJM6
It's easy to space up a short rail, hard to make up for the difference going the other way...
I would use an earlier style electric sender and adapt it to the LS. The computer doesn’t need to see oil pressure. https://www.amazon.com/G·PEH-Adapter-pressure-adapter-Engines/dp/B0894LDF76/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=ls1+oil+pressure+adapter&qid=1657636878&sr=8-3
Use an LS truck rad. It'll go into your factory shroud. You'll have all the hose connections you need.. LS has stem lines other rads are missing.
Fuel pump options. LS truck fuel pump attached to your sending unit in your tank $60. Or there is a Corvette sending unit ? I think that matches your tank hole size $200 ish. Or external walbro is pretty awesome for $120.
Motor mounts .. we used speed engineering. I think there all made from the same pattern. You'll need to grind on the block a tiny bit if you want them to sit flat. for LS Swap Motor Mounts Adapter Plates LS Conversion Adjustable Universal Swap Bracket Small Block for LS1 LS3 LS2 LQ4 LQ9 LS6 L92 L99 L33 LR4 Billet 551628 for SBC Vehicle to LS Engine https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08C2C1KQ3/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_GZ85JZCDQ2EJC9VJNWS4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The one I got made it real easy, it bolted to the rocker boss and had an “H” shaped plate that you screwed down to compress the springs and remove the keepers.

There's some itch if you're not careful. I wore long sleeves, thick nitrile gloves, and soaked it in water before application.

This is a very good book that covers all the aspects of the swap. It does not cover any one particular vehicle, but it will give you a good intro and basic understanding of what’s involved.
I am involved with a 68 Camaro LS Swap (donor motor is a L77 6.0 out of a 2015 Caprice PPV).
A question for this subreddit community is: Would you sacrifice all the convenience and comfort features of the car (such as heater core & heater motor blower, windshield wiper motor and arm assembly (use RainX), detachable steering wheel hub) and get rack and pinion steering instead?
For theft deterrence instead of purchasing a detachable steering wheel just use a simple gas pedal lock and save a bunch of $.
Where else can $ be saved on a build like this?
Have you ever installed tow hooks on any of your muscle cars?
