Google “whatever phone you have tether” or buy a case with a tether hole. They have some universal tethers that are just like a silicone g string for your phone easy on easy off.
iPhone case that I use has a little hole for a tether.
You will feel ridiculous wearing this at first. Them you get over it when you realize you're entire face and neck are shaded.
Yea, one of these
I’ve used a wiremike before and used a chart to figure out amps, haven’t had them rolled into the same unit though. Sleeves would be easier I feel because the size is the size.
Here’s the one we have:
If the suspension is already good you can get a replacement pad that is washable. I’ve purchased leather sweat bands before that have snap buttons and can be added to any suspension. If you buy bands instead of a new suspension I recommend buying at least two so you have one to swap while the other is being cleaned.

Both books are pretty dry but have great info.
This will keep your clothes dry. I used these for years, I even had a pack get dropped off of a truck and submerged in a puddle for a few minutes. The pack got wet but the bag kept my clothes dry.

Best thing I've found....saw a guy post it on Facebook so I gave them a try and they work great imo.
Someone on Facebook turned me on to these to wear under your primary gloves. I go through about 4 pair in the winter but I'd rather be comfortable in the cold than miserable.

I’ve used sports knee pads before , they fit snug and give you enough cushion. Eventually you’ll find the best way to wear your climbers and you won’t need them as much. I found some on Amazon COOLOMG Protective Knee Pads Basketball Volleyball Football Crashproof Antislip (1Pair) for Kids Youth Adults https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YTGPZO2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JJXPEKNQNBWTET8CHHNX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1. Good luck

This is the best thing I've found to remove staples. IDK what you mean by cowboy staples though.

Those are the ones I used last year....went through a couple of pairs over the winter.....they were even thin enough for them to fit under my regular work gloves.
Always wear light colored under armor. Believe it or not it actually helps a lot with the heat and humidity.
Also, this may sound crazy, but I recommend combat/tactical pants to everyone because not only do they have many, low profile pockets, but they are adjustable to the wearer. These can be adjusted tightly to your body (these conform to me well and im 6' and 235lbs) and im able to crouch with stuff in my pockets. Not to mention they have built in kneepads that dont get destroyed easily.
https://www.amazon.com/Riemann-Hours-Protection-Medium-200ml/dp/B00B1AZZ5S This stuff is kind of expensive but I’m telling you you won’t be disappointed. Doesn’t leave that greasy feeling. Highly recommend.
If you know the wire type (ACSR, alumoweld, etc.) and the configuration (19#7) then you could pull up a cut sheet with a table that’ll tell you the diameter. For more common sizes a Burndy Wire Mike is pretty handy, but the V one probably has a lot more markings for aerial sizes.
You need to get your permit before you can even practice driving, here are the steps ive taken...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.drivingprep.cdl
Take the General Knowledge Test to obtain permit
Study how to do Pre-Trip Inspection
Find a place that rents out their trucks for dmv testing.
-You can find place that will allow you to have x amount of hours practicing behind the wheel driving and give you multiple times to try and pass at the dmv. They usually charge between 800-1500 here in Cali so prices may very in different states.
DOING IT THIS WAY CAN SAVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY. Good luck.

I got these ariats a couple months ago. I’ve climbed in them a couple times for up and down jobs. If it’s a more involved climb job I’ll wear my loggers, but my back thanks me for no longer wearing my loggers everyday.
Getting old is for the birds.
They also asked what type of materials linemen use.
It may be worth buying The Lineman's and Cableman's Handbook for anyone else interested. I've seen it recommended, and it may even be a required book in the schooling itself. That would definitely give you good answers.
