I personally think that BarkBoard could have had more people using it if it was better advertised. That being said, BarkBoard had some problems that I don't think could be solved without modifying a lot of code.
This has been mentioned basically every time someone talks about BarkBoard, but BarkBoard is just an instance of phpBB, so it would technically be easy to set up another instance of BarkBoard EXACTLY as it was before, minus some things like logins being linked to ISO and restricting users to MTU users as a consequence.
I don't think you'll find a link to classic BarkBoard. WayBack machine shouldn't have been able to scrape it, it would need to use an ISO login to get past the landing page, so I think you're SOL on that one. But again, because it's just phpBB, if your trying to figure out how it works, you can just look at any other instance of it (or run one locally).
I'm going to PM you in a bit, because if you're serious about wanting to build a better, more focused BarkBoard, I want to talk to you about that.
"Now that Trump scrapped 'bamacare, there ain't no more healthcare coverage for nobody"
Lol, kidding, but on a serious note, check out https://www.healthcare.gov/ Although it is outside of the coverage period, you can still get covered if you have a reason (like you recently lost coverage or have some other circumstance). It is a great for comparing plans and purchasing a plan.
Side note, what do you mean by >I need find one that works with the university.
This notification was particularly targeted to with folks that are on campus right now to change their password due to some security work we've been doing for awhile now as well as an acute security incident. The average password age has steadily creeped up as well causing concern. People still using their student ID # as their password years after those were issued is a thing.
As an Alum I'd recommend also changing your password on a fairly regular basis and if you are a smartphone carrying alum(or on campus person) I'd highly recommend setting up 2 factor authentication on not just your Gmail but everywhere you can. The amount of compromised accounts that happen monthly just because of bad/old/multiple use passwords is concerning. For a lot of people once they are into your email account they have a LOT of information about other accounts you have at like Amazon, Facebook, etc. And where do password resets for places like those go? To your email.
There have been literally dozens of sites that have lost full or partial user login information, to check your accounts you can go to places like https://haveibeenpwned.com - at that website they list some of the most recent and largest breaches.
2 factor sounds like a pain in the ass but it's really not. You can have it text you a code or you can go the full Google Authenticator route(recommend) but it's usually pretty painless and most larger websites are now offering it.
I assume you're talking about the dorms. Those outlets can run anything. Many people have coffee makers, but probably aren't allowed to have a hotplate. As long as your RA doesn't see it and you don't burn the place down, I think you should get an electric skillet. Gets hot enough to boil water for ramen and obviously cooks like a normal skillet. I use this one in my apartment and it's great https://www.amazon.com/Presto-06620-11-Inch-Electric-Skillet/dp/B0000BYD65/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Presto+06620+11-Inch+Electric+Skillet%2CBlack%2FWhite&qid=1604112996&sr=8-3
I had an '04 CRV, and the dealer wanted an exorbitant amount of money (couple hundred bucks) for a key. I bought an Autel MaxiAP AP200 OBD2 Scanner for ~$40 (price appears to have gone up some) and I could program as many keys as I want. I ordered blanks online and had them cut at Festy's. (They said they could program the keys, too, but they had no luck with my car.) It took about ten minutes. BTW, if you need a key blank, I think I have one or two around here that will probably work in your Pilot. You can have 'em if you want 'em. (And if I can find them.)
There are a ton of bluetooth and wifi OBD2 readers out there, and I don't know which ones can do Honda keys, but I know the Autel one worked for me. Bonus: it can also read all your car's codes, reset idiot lights, and program tire pressure sensors.
You mean a place that has plug-in jumpers? Perhaps. A place that has those readily available for anybody to use? Mm... yeah I dunno about that one.
I'd recommend getting a portable jump starter. I got one for $100 that also charges my laptop, says it will start up to a 6L diesel (2000amps). There are also ones without power delivery (laptop charging) for $55 (1500A) and $89 (3000A). https://www.amazon.com/BRPOM-Starter-26800mAh-Booster-Battery/dp/B099F4CW4R/ref=sr\_1\_3?keywords=3000a%2Bportable%2Bjump%2Bstarter&qid=1646692575&sprefix=3000a%2B%2Caps%2C175&sr=8-3&th=1
It's sad that 9 years after it happened we're still mad about G ditching XMPP.
If general sentiment is with OP here, that this nerd is being difficult, then we're doomed. If there's one place open platforms should be taking hold it's universities.
Fucking hope OP isn't a CS student.
... and https://matrix.org/ is probably the better bet now days.
Yeah, could never find PDFs online for that one. If I was still in Houghton I'd give you my copy, but I live in Florida now (unfortunately, lol). I found one copy of the 3rd ed on Amazon used for $45 tho. And its prime.
Another option is to just borrow someone else's copy (or see if the library has one) and go to the 3rd floor copiers and scan the whole thing lmao. I may or may not have done that a few times...
I realize this may be too late, but here's a tip: don't buy textbooks. Most of them you can find online as a free PDF (check b-ok.org and libgen.pw). <-- those two sites + google provided every textbook I needed last semester for free, aside from the tech-specfic Engineering ebook that we used like twice, and was $144.

This semester I needed a textbook that is so new, the ebook doesn't come out until March. Prof said we absolutely could not use any other version. I bought from Amazon, just spent over an hour taking a PICTURE of each of the ~2100 pages (labeling the picture with a page number via software so I can search for a page), and I'm returning it for a full refund. It's a bit time consuming at first but I saved myself $100 (the book is Norton Intro to Literature, shortened 13th edition if you need it).

Try to use those sites + google, if you can't find one post the book and I'll try to help you. If all else fails you can do what I did and still get it for free.

tldr; I took a passion on doing my own nails when I went to tech, worth giving a shot.
Okay I'm a chick that went to Michigan Tech, graduated in 2019. I fell in love with longer nails and nail art while I was in school there. I wanted to try it but there (at the time) wasn't any salons there. What I did instead was order some clear press ons from Amazon and I would decorate them (I recommend something like this to make it easier) with polishes and gems from the Walmart up there. It was a fun creative release and I got cute nails that I loved switching up :) Amazon also has gel polishes and gel lamps that are waaay quicker than just painting your nails and last longer.
But if you're someone who doesn't even want to bother with that, you may be out of luck for nails. I don't remember a single salon or ever seeing other ladies with acrylics.
These are the best <$100 wired headphones you’ll ever experience. They get rave reviews everywhere. I’ve been using mine for about 2 years now with no issues. They’re especially great if you get a DAC and VMODA mic.

You really need to provide more details. $1500 gets you a lot of laptop. Generally you can go two ways with high end laptops.
thin and light, long better life, but not as powerful
powerful, but heavy, and short battery life.
You could get by just fine with a cheaper laptop though. A 15 inch laptop with an i5 and 8GB of ram is perfectly fine for doing homework. Something like this:
