My guy is a big fan of this one. It's hard to find a tree large enough for a Maine Coon; most of the larger trees are for multiple smaller cats. This one is large enough for my 14 lb cat.
Hi! I took a look at the carrier you linked to and I think it looks good, but it will be dependent on the size of your cat. The description states that it's for cats up to 17lbs, so if your cat is pushing that size it might be a bit uncomfortable.
I have this carrier for my Maine Coons: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087WSHGKW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_YVD8AGWQFNVN2EWTSSTX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I think it is airline approved for under the seat dimensions. My cats really like it- it has an expandable front to give them a little more space when I can and they like being able to look fully out the front bubble window. It an accommodate a cat up to 20lbs so it's perfect for my cats.
The only down side is that it doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the one you got- primarily the fan- and sometimes my cats get too hot in it. I additionally got an attachable fan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V5TX443/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_9B1DJ3ZR4EED9RDJMAKE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and I always keep a couple frozen packs on hand that I out in there with them if it seems like they are getting warm. I would recommend keeping the frozen packs with you if possible no matter which carrier you choose because when cats get nervous their body temp rises and if it's warm on the plane they could become uncomfortable in the carrier.
We got this one for 2 cats. Our Maine coon is only 6 months/ 10lbs right now but it holds up through her “terror” episodes such as flipping around and jumping off the highest ledge. It’s not available now but it’s pretty sturdy and have some pretty good reviews with heavier cars Cat tree
Sorry to hear about your cats digestive problems. Our older tabby cat has real bad digestive issues as well, girlfriend has tried every and any available cat food out there. I bought this and it has helped our cat tremendously!
What about the grooming gloves like these? I keep them around the house so wherever the boys decide to snuggle with me, I can pet them and do some minor grooming. They don’t object to these like they intermittently do with their brushes.
A metal comb with a wide side and a narrow side. I use one like this https://www.chewy.com/frisco-metal-dog-cat-comb/dp/233482
I also have a comb with a handle on it, but I feel like its easier to be gentler without the extra leverage a handle gives. My vet will use a little flea comb with a handle on it to work out mats, but I've never quit gotten the hang of that game.
The one we use is the this original Furminator for long haired. The Furminator pulls out more hair by far than anything else I have used. The only downside I have had is that the "hair release" button doesn't work very well, so I have to pull the hair off the combs manually, which is no big deal.
I would also suggest you purchase a dematter comb to have when needed.
You can also buy a finishing brush or cheap brush if your cat really likes being groomed. You can do the hard work with the Furminator and then finish off with some light grooming with a normal brush. My cat doesn't like being groomed much, so I just try to make quick work with the Furminator. But for a cat that likes grooming, a simple brush at the end might feel nice.
Other side note on Maine Coons: when purchasing items, always purchase the largest size for cats or even look at dog versions instead. We have tried to buy large cat beds and stuff that say they can fit cats up to 20 pounds, but they are almost always too small. For instance, we wanted a raised food dish for out cat so he wasn't bending down so much to eat. We tried the "tall" versions of the cat dishes, and they were all too short, so we went to a dog dish instead.
Your MC may not be full grown until about 3 years old, but once she gets bigger, you will want to buy things that accommodate her size. Good luck and have fun!
We have a maine coon. Got him a cat tree off amazon that is actually big enough for him. It's out of stock right now, but it will come back in. Just save it to your wish list and you'll be notified when it is.

This one is fairly large: SturdiBag Extra Large Flexible Height Pet Carrier. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0027P0Q2S
They used to have a XXL size that was a little taller but I don’t see that one right now.
For a kitten, you can use a smaller one. Our smaller grown Maine Coon also likes a more standard carrier, basically a boxy soft sided one that’s the largest size you can take with you on the plane
We got a large cat backpack that our MC likes. We had an XL plastic carrier, but he would slide around a bit and not be very happy. He enjoys curling up in his backpack and having a better view. He is about 18 pounds.
Link for similar backpack: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GST13RM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_ETPB3FDHFF9E821S31C9?psc=1
My MCs are on the smaller side weight wise (~16lbs) but are still very long. One of my kitties enjoys being smushed into this soft sided carrier and will cry if I put her in something bigger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CY48OYS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
We also bought a larger hard sided carrier off Amazon but the quality sucked, we can't use it as a carrier. Don't buy from Amazon basics.
I recently had to purchase a new carrier that would hold my 27lb maine coon and I found one on Amazon. I can’t tell you how well it will work in the long term, but for the short trips back and forth to the vet, this seems to suffice. He fits and that more than I can say about others I’ve tried.

Try this also, it got my girl using her litter box after she had bladder stones and hated her litter box. She associated the box with the pain of trying to go potty... Poor baby
They make pet safe tushie wipes, you WILL need them!!! Also the dingle berries are a real thing, you will step in them in bare feet :-(
The butt fluff is a pain... But beautiful!! link
Sure thing. Tbh though, the best advice I can give you is to get multi-cat cat litter. I live in an apartment and I obsess over the cat box being clean/not smelling. I’ve tried many litters, and the one that works the best by far is this one
We use this brush: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YX51Q31/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_3F8NA5PTPZZ8GNEXYPNQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Tried using the following but is not as effective. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M5DS0Z7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PZ9ZS3FFCW39F7YW4HRF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
What’s the conditioner you use? Is it pet-safe?
I have this one and my maine coon fits fine. He prefers this one. Only because it sits in the window. Both are good quality for the price and have lasted so far over a year.
We got this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071CFXMZG which was the biggest I could find.
I'm going to have to go with "too small" even though it says for large cats. Our MC is 19 pounds (growing boy!) and he has a lot hanging over the edge when he uses it. One shelf for the cat, another for his tail and he still doesn't fit well.
I've been meaning to take a picture for an Amazon review - it's comical.
