Mixcraft 7 has warping, which would allow you to move beats to match the grid. Check out the videos on Warping and Autowarping here: Mixcraft 7 Audio Editing tutorial vids.
First thing I always do is clean the vocals. Remove as much noise, clicks, and pops as possible. I leave in breathing but I'll turn it way down. I then normalize to -3dB. Use an EQ to remove anything under about 80-100hz and anything over 18khz. I then use Melodyne for subtle pitch correction or use autotune (Gsnap). Add a subtle vocal doubler or chorus to thicken up the vocals. Use 2 compressors, both subtle. I'll then use the parallel compression technique. I top it off with a very light delay and subtle reverb. I then side-chain my vocals to the instrumental bus/track.
Here's an example that puts that all together: https://audius.co/kirbymumbo/rap-rap-prod.-ladbitbyturtle-45565
Everything is tuned to taste and add creative fx as neede but I wrote subtle like 10 times so that would be the key I think lol.
I found this in the Amazon questions and answers section.
Q: Can i run this, via midi 5 pin > usb into my mac to drive steven slate in logic pro x? A: Alesis support here! Technically, you can use the 5-pin to connect to a USB adapter, but the USB port on the back of the Nitro Mesh Kit is also a MIDI connection so you can use just one USB cable to connect it right up to your computer without the need of an adapter. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call or email us using the contact information on alesis.com/support. By Mike V. on April 23, 2019
