Hurricane Sam isn’t threatening the East coast, so no worries. This is a good website for tracking storms: https://www.wunderground.com/ Click on the “Severe Weather” tab, then “Hurricanes”. They put up all the computer models and tracking maps.
Sorry to answer my own question, but I had to book for tomorrow. I went with Breakers based on this pretty good post. Its from 2009 but seems to rate the best places to stay pretty well.
I have always been a big fan of Dino's in NMB. Here is a page on it from trip adviser. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g54371-d521510-Reviews-Dino_s_Pancake_House-North_Myrtle_Beach_South_Carolina.html
Not to state the obvious (but i will!) Did you try Amazon? A quick check shows a pack of 35 noodles each 55" long for $60 from Amazon Prime. ( https://www.amazon.com/SwimWays-Standard-Swim-Noodles-Pack/dp/B01BY1S2US/ref=sr_1_4?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1511912222&sr=8-4&keywords=pool+noodle&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011) Shipping might get you though. You want the this week. We have Prime. I'd say half the time we get the order in two days. Up to you if you wanna chance it and take the gamble or not.
Charleston is 70 miles from the south end of the beach. It’s a quick drive and has lots and lots of art studios, art exhibits and much more. Check out the Spoleto Festival, held in February!!! It brings people to Charleston from every continent. https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=spoleto+festival&fr=iphone&.tsrc=apple
I've never heard of the Fountain Bleau Inn myself, but they don't have very good reviews on TripAdvisor. Good location but I don't think I'd recommend staying there. Pay attention also to the wording of the ad - they say their rates already include taxes, but everything is listed as "$(Price)+TAX." That seems a little scam-ish to me.
You have to be careful with Craigslist, don't rent something sight unseen through there. Make sure you're Googling TripAdvisor reviews or at the very least asking locals (like people here) for their advice.
Your regular housing is in a fairly good location. However, I've heard stories (from people I've worked with who have been part of these foreign exchange worker programs) that it's not always the best living situation (people stealing belongings, causing trouble, etc.) - but you could have an entirely different experience.
I see from your previous posts you'll be working with Lack's - there are a ton of locals who work for them. If all else fails, maybe once you get here you can make friends with some of the local employees and see if any of them might be willing to let you stay with them for a couple of months.
Hope I've been helpful! :)
It depends on what time people want to go; Happy Hour 4-8 has most of the bars near the HardRock Cafe, and I am not positive when the nightlife shows up.
Camp BowWow However "Socialization Interview and Temperament Testing: This is a required free assessment prior to your pup's first day of doggy daycare or overnight dog boarding stay. Interviews are by appointment only Monday thru Friday 7am to 1pm. Your dog must stay a minimum of 3 hours or may stay the remainder of the day."
or Find a pet friendly hotel I would call ahead to make sure they are pet friendly.
I like weatherbug.com . You can do a 10 day forecast or an hourly forecast.
Beach Cove has a great pool with lazy River and tiki bar. Orange silicone wristbands like the Lance Armstrong ones. Order them online if needed.

I've used one similar to this in the past and got great reception for WFXB, WMBF, and WPDE. I've never had luck with WBTW (CBS) with this one, perhaps because they use a different kind of band (Hi-V vs UHF). I was able to pick up all the Wilmington channels, though, which gave me CBS via WWAY (just not our local news).
Earlier this year, I switched from having one of these in every room with a TV to a single attic antenna that I can route to all of my TVs through the walls. I want to say I threw my other antennas away or donated them, but if I can find any of them, I'd be happy to give them to you.
