I just went through this the other day, I had to buy one of these. Remove the headlights and you can bend the bumper just enough to get that tool in there
99-04 Mustang DNA Headlights, also called DRL Headlights. They’re pretty much out of stock everywhere, but here’s the link where I got them on Amazon: DNA Motoring HL-LB-FM99-BK-CL1... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4Y7V9C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I don't know about the seats. Still on the 280k Miles originals. The door lock actuators are bad. not expensive. Got mine on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009DK8EYM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . They are Left and Right. They clip into the latch assembly. Hard part is getting the door panel off.
For the single 10” sub I custom made a box. I’m a vert but it rested against piece that divides the trunk from the rear of the seats. The box was 11.5” tall so it fit just right.
For my current set up I bought a custom set up premade.

There are 5x7/6x8 brackets you can buy. I opted for wood as plastic seems too flimsy for me.

I used gorilla glue double side tape to stick the cross overs to the inside of the door panel. The tweeters in the kit I got were mounted in the factory position in both the front and back.
In regards to the rear, no plastic or anything was modified to make it all fit. I did mount the amp for the highs behind the rear seat where the Mach 460 stock amp was. In the picture of the prefab set up you can see where the subs amp mounts.
Everything has been grounded to the rear seat belt mounting bolt for a good frame ground.
You have a bit more room to work with since you’re a coupe. I’m a vert so the trunk was a bit more tight but measure and you’ll be good.
I remember I had the same dilema when I replaced my manifold, for the coil packs the bolts that worked for me were these.
Ive seen some people recommend these from amazon but I dont know if there's better ones out there. Might be worth checking out for specs?
They aren't OEM style but I run these https://www.protuninglab.com/pro-yd-fm99-1pc-am-bk.html?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cse&srsltid=AR5OiO1OTLIqIdrYbr-cFLnmDoSD41Ce3QQ97b7Qq2aH0ooaEPDM1avr-xE
With these
They work really well together if you are looking for really good light output with a good pattern.

looks like if you want ford ones you need to buy hoses with them
Yeah I think you have the same issue I had.
You can use this:
What you do is disconnect the factory harness from the stock AMP. Take that factory harness that was connected to the stock amp, then connect it to the bypass harness linked above. The other side of the bypass harness will not fit CUT IT OFF, then strip the wires on it and use those stripped wires to hook up your new headunit. BAM easy peasy.
Also, a good reason for the Stock AMP bypass harness is because new headunits DO NOT know how to make the stock AMP go to sleep. Meaning the stock amp will stay on and you'll have a battery drain.
Trust me, I went through this already.
I literally had the same exact problem a month ago, bought a new regulator and had it installed. Fixed everything. Here’s the one I got off Amazon: A-Premium Power Window Regulator... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074YCVLPP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
If I had to do a quick fix I would use something like this:
Just search vinyl fix on amazon etc. Some kits include the colors so that you can color match the area you are fixing. It might not turn out perfect but its a quick fix for sure lol
It's super easy. Just remove the bezel, remove the wires. Pop out the cigarette lighter plug from the bezel. Cut the OEM wires. Crimp on electrical connectors. Mount the new USB charger plug port. Tighten the ring. Connect electrical. Done.
This is the one I got, but there's a ton of choices. I just searched amazing for "cigarette light usb charger port".
And thank you!
Pick up some of this stuff and let it soak.

these are what I bought but they are a little big and ths dust filter doesn't really fit on with them installed
They’re called DRL Headlights. Here’s a link to get them on Amazon, but they always sell out fast, so be quick! DNA Motoring HL-LB-FM99-BK-CL1 Black Housing Clear Corner LED Headlight Compatible with 99-04 Mustang https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4Y7V9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_B58QEV2AYAJPY55F75CT
American muscles sells them. but I got them from Amazon since I was looking for a darker headlight rather than the chrome-ier look. Honestly I like them, they look good, though I feel like the strip is not bright enough maybe because it was day-time. During sunset, it looks freaking great! If you do get new headlights, get some silicone and put it around both headlights where you might see gaps, this will prevents it from having condensation inside the headlights.
You can have your battery & alternator tested free at many auto parts shops. But I suggest grabbing one of these or similar, plug in. These are cheap parts, so I'd test it in a good working car as well to confirm..
With the car running, it should read 13-14. If it reads below 13, your alternator is not properly charging your battery (probably alternator or connection, but I'd check the serpentine belt quality as well). If it reads above 14.5 or so, you have alternator/regulator/wiring issues.
With the car not running, it should read above 12. If it's less than 12, your battery isn't fully charged. This is likely a bad battery, connection or a power leech (accessory plugged in overnight).
I just installed one of these from Amazon. APDTY 609235 (EGR) Exhaust Gas Recirculation Tube https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CMXUASA/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_7FK18Z0SMCA4NQF3QKC8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I know I’m late to this party but I use this. I also use it on my exterior plastics. I was tired of products running when it rained or coming off after a rain and losing shine. A little goes a long way so go easy when applying. The rest of my car is ceramic coated so I wanted something that also lasted.

I didn't have a key fob when I got my 2002, but all mustangs made after a certain date (don't know what the first model to have them was, but new edges all do) will have key fob capabilities. You need to follow a specific process to put the cars computer in pairing mode, then press a button on the key fob to link it.
The steps are as follows
Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.
Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.
Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
You can get a new fob on Amazon for only a few bucks, here's a link
I don't think they do but I'm not 100% sure. These are the bulbs I bought. I also replaced the stock turn signal flasher with an LED one. I'm going switch out all the LEDs for the regular bulbs to see if they're the cause of this
Honestly just get a USB adapter module. It removes the cigarette lighter completely and replaces it with a dual usb plug. Cleans up the interior look as well.

Sorry to hear your sound quality sucks. I'm currently using the Comsoon Bluetooth FM Transmitter which I purchased from Amazon a couple months ago. Quality is good with no static, you just have to tune it to an empty station. I use it to play from my spotify playlist.
If this thing breaks, let me know how the modulator works out for you. I'd be interested in trying it out.
I got mine for around $20 on amazon. All you need is the bulbs and will have to wire in a resistor on each side to make them blink normally. I did both sides in about 15 minutes.

There’s the link for the ones I ordered.
Hey guys! Last year I bought a used 2002 Mustang GT convertible. I've kept up the normal maintenance, but I ran into an issue this weekend. The right side headlight burned out. I bought the suggested replacement from Auto Zone. (I even bought two, so they could both be replaced at the same time.) But when my husband pulled the bulb out, it's definitely not the factory headlight. There's an aftermarket ballast, and the headlight doesn't come apart so you can replace just the bulb (photos in imgur album). I tried googling the part number on the yellow tag, but nothing came up.
Will this fit? The wattage & size line up, but I figured I should double check.
Or, does anyone have a store/shop recommendation in the Baltimore area? This might be a situation where online shopping isn't the best choice. Thanks!
I have a naviskauto unit off of Amazon that's no longer offered, but don't despair, there are probably 2 revs newer since I bought mine.

AFAIK, I'm the first person to document making one of these work with a new edge. It really is more work getting to the two wires in the steering wheel area than anything else (and even that is more tedious than hard).
If you really want this, I'm happy to be your tech support and if you do it we should write up a guide together.
I still have a slug of extra resistors I bought as a pack when I did this and would be happy to send you as many as you would need if you wanted the extra buttons.
Finally there's this: it occurs to me that the buttons can pretty much go anywhere. You can simply tap into those wires and use a discreet resistance - you could control radio function from a dash mount or whatever.
BTW, knowing what i

I have these since my car came with shitty halo lights. Could/should I put better bulbs in them? They really don't have much visibility atm
For those of you guys going down the retro styling path, these are pretty cool.
The way I am building my GT, I am actually going to cheat and slip some S281 badges on her. Sorry! It will all make sense later when the FI comes :)
