Here is the link. I bought the “Dark Colorful” one, though idk if it’s in stock right this second.
They’re $30!
I posted this in case anyone was curious about the size difference.
I drive everyday on the highway for about 20 minutes to get to work. I always get murdered by the wind hitting me in my chest and head pretty bad. After I got this I hit 100 mph without even realizing because of how smooth it rides now. I barely get hit with wind now!

Picked a full black screen up for my bike on Amazon for like 30 bucks, no need to cause a mess or headache for yourself.
Here is the LINK to the one I purchased.
I recommend this Hiflofitro oil racing filter (racing simply has the nut to grip on to. I believe K&N quality went down compared to this one):
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00FJFD6K2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_dlC_pvbTFbNDYQPJJ?psc=1
And I went with this Bel-Ray synthetic blend oil. It's also on revzillla:
I've been a happy camper since! Definitely runs better than stock oil and filter.
If you don't plan on getting a full system + tune. This is the best bang/buck out there.

No matter the brand you get unless it's just an open tube they will all sound very similar and none will give any noticeable performance gains.
The above one is IMHO one of the better looking ones for the price you can't beat it.
This is the one I personally bought they have a 12 LED version that only does brake. I didn't like how the turn signal worked so I didn't connect it. I only ended up using 12 LEDs so I wish I bought the cheaper version. Super bright, the "white" has a blueish hue to it still if that's a big deal in your state. Otherwise, it's really bright and the brake light to red works beautifully.
You are much more visible at night.

Just looked it up since I need to get some too.
The cotter pins are 4mm x ~1 1/2 inches long stock.
So 5/32" cotter pins x 1 1/2 inches are perfect for our bikes (and many other bikes, as I have found. Ninja 300, KLR, etc. etc.).
5/32" is almost exactly 4 mm. 1/8" is too thin.
I'm riding to harbor freight now to get this set for dirt cheap. And will grind a few pins to under 2 inches.
Here's an option from Amazon.
One of these air cushions with a sheepskin cover on top. Perfect.
Here’s my setup. If it blocks links I can DM you. You won’t need the bracket that comes with relay. But that’s ok.

Looks like this Kemimoto exhaust just branded with an Akrapovic label. Notice the hole in the bottom for removing the baffle that isn't present on a real Akrapovic. I use the kemimoto on my Z400 and honestly it's decent for the price.
I bought the Govee 12 strip set on Amazon and while everything was nice and decent quality it was pretty annoying that unlike their home products when they lose power you HAVE to press the power button on the control box to get them back on. Bad design.
I wired them in through a switch I added on the right side up front and if I flip that switch to cut them off from the battery and then later flip the switch on I have to take my seat off to push that button. So I just leave the switch on now which is the same as wiring directly to the battery like their instructions show. Was just trying to prevent battery drain.

Other than that hitch I'd recommend them.
So you should have 0.8 to 1.2 inches of play TOTAL. You can either use a caliper to measure or use a ruler. This looks like too much. I just did mine a few days ago so I know what it looks like and this is slightly too much. They also make special tools to measure chain play that you can buy. When you are adjusting it, you need to make sure you also have your rear wheel properly aligned. I would recommend getting an alignment tool because it is more accurate than just eye balling it or using the marks on the swingarm. I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GTVOJQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Use a torque wrench to get it to the specified ft/lbs of torque for the main bolt on the swingarm. I believe it is 78 ft/lbs of torque if I recall correctly, but verify in the manual (it has the exact number). You can get new cotter pins for the bolt at harbor freight or other stores (I got a multi-pack at harbor freight for like $5 for a bunch of them).
I actually had my bike stolen not that long ago, because I was careless. It was found a week later with no discernable damage and about 10 miles on it. Since then I've installed an alarm. (https://www.amazon.com/Directed-Electronics-Powersport-Waterproof-Watercraft/dp/B07C5Y8ZGG). Honestly, it could be louder. Supposedly, there are cheap Chinese ones on eBay that actually work well.
I also use a heavy duty disk lock, lock the handlebars, and park in a spot where they'd need to have the handlebars straight to get out. I cover it when it's parked for long periods.
I’ve been thinking of getting this Amazon one

They work. Attach the ring terminals to he battery and leave the pigtail where its accessible. Bonus you can buy adapters for the pigtail for running heated gear or charging phones.
Honestly I quit using them with modern fuel injected bikes. Just start the bike and let it warm up every couple months during winter and they seem fine.
I used these ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TQ95PKZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ) as well as putting in a relay so that I could plug them into the rear accessories port, under the passenger seat. (Link to the relay https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MTKPMV9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share )

Nothing too fancy.
The exhaust I got, it was night and day. My only regret is not doing it sooner! I went from a 2 (sound like a lawnmower) to an 8 where I'm not as embarrassing as my buddies on their liter bikes. It has a nice growl when down shifting and better audible queues when shufting up for a new rider learning how to shift better. My shift from a stop is better and less stall prone because now I have better audible queues on when to release the clutch.

$225 worth every penny and looks great! I did NOT install the dB killer
I bought it liking the 18 led and turn signal feature. The 18.led doesn't work well with turn signal as there's only 2 leads coming from the control box and only 3 6 splitter cables. So one side will have 12 less the other 6. No big deal except turn signal will be brighter on one side
I recommend buying the 12 led version with just brake light. Save the money, 18 led is not necessary, I only installed 12 and its very bright.
Managing and routing the wires was the most time consuming process of it all. Easy connect to battery, easy wire splicing if you're confident in that.

The intent was not to carry large/heavy stuff, I just wanted something handy to keep my small things such as phone, wallet, keys, GoPro, etc.
Yep and it really helps with that. This finder eliminated is awesome but you need to use vaseline to get the turn singles in. That is the trick for easy install. Also don’t go cheap and tank grips. They will just peel off and you will be buying the most expensive ones anyways to replace them.

Good buck bang. It barely holds a small laptop and lunch.
Budget is around $400-$500. Was thinking about this
Not sure why exactly, but the idea of a speaker sounds more appealing to me than headphones, or comms. Noise cancelling headphones seem dangerous on a motorcycle in a sense. Not being able to hear your surrounding like sirens, honking, someone screaming at you, or anything really besides your music doesn’t sound safe.
I just did the opposite, but the eliminator I had there were spots for the OEM turn signals. You will have to dig into the lighting but you can have both.
No worries, I'm super new too and not to mention not the most handy owner yet. This is the riser set I bought, took a little work to figure out how everything screws in but ultimately pretty easy.
> apparently the max current the 400 can do is 2.8amps?
I'm going to take an educated guess, but I'm not 100% sure if 2.8amps is the limit. From what I found, the relay lets you draw up to 5amps [source here]. Also combined with the fact that the relay would allow you to straight install a 12v DC cigarette lighter, I'm thinking the max power draw is 12v @ 5 amps (60 watts). Again, not 100% sure, but just going off of info that I collected.
I do have a similar charger to the one you're looking at installed on my bike, but I haven't stress tested it to see if both USB slots can draw 2A at the same time.

That one was recommended in a feed a while back. I picked it up and love it. Really good, especially for the price. No figment issues on my 2020 400.
I've got a Z400 and did a similar distance over 2 days and it was OK for the most part, fairings would be nice. The ergonomics are pretty shit NGL but I didn't buy it to tour on I bought it to learn on and I'm also 6'2" tall and 105kgs.
I would recommend an Airhawk for the garbage seat that these bikes have, its the cheapest way to fix that.
Grip heaters are a must if you are doing any sort of distance at night or in cooler climates.
The fuel was pretty good, sitting on 110km/h in 6th got me about 320km from a tank which is pretty good I thought.
The lack of fairings is kind of fucked though, I've got a windscreen that does sweet FA but the buffeting passing trucks at 100km/h was fairly extreme.
Other than that I just stopped to stretch my legs every couple of hours because it is a bit of a tight squeeze with my inseam.
I second what kyle said, and I for one did the service on my own. My chain definitely needed some tightening during first service as well.
I might get a shop checkup soon, for the hell of it, though but my bike has been running well.
Yes, $500 is way ridiculous, that's a shitty dealer.
I went with Bel-Ray EXP Synthetic Ester Blend 4T Engine Oil (it's on both Amazon and Revzilla) for my bike, it definitely ran better upon changing it and I've been happy with it. In sunny Southern California. Also handles long 200-400 mile day rides like a champ. And odds are you'll use a better oil filter than the dealer, I used this one. Youtube videos are your friends for doing anything yourself. Also recommend the motorcycle stand from Harbor Freight.

I'm in the exact same boat. I'm 6'-3" and with my jacket, the mirrors are literally useless. I bought some of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F1LTXKJ/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just got them yesterday and have yet to ride but... they are pretty wonky looking. Also, there are the stock vertical extenders that appear to have some rubber/vibration resistance in them as well. I'm just worried they won't stay tight, I cannot even speak to if they help the rearview yet or not.
If anyone has replaced their mirrors with something other than bar-ends, I'd love to see what you got that was better than stock. I have the same concerns about removing the bar-end weights as another poster as it pertains to vibration.
I'm also not sure if the bars are hollow... or do they have a disk a few inches up inside with a threaded hole in the middle? If they aren't hollow that complicates installing bar-end mirrors as well.
I never thought something that seems so simple would end up being so complicated. :(
