The main issue people seem to have with Qubes is the UI.
They seem to have fixed this in later updates tho.

Application support is mainly works with Debian and Fedora VMs by default.
Have you tried cloning the app VM for Debian and executing;
apt-get update && apt-get install

kdenlive

How much Linux experienced you have?

Also, for the non-free apps verify they have the proper .desktop file or it can be a bit harder to work. Generally this is needed to start via the VM manager.
It can be created tho.
I’ve given up on this distro due to lack of updates and general lack of interest in the community, take a look at Garuda Linux, they have a great user base and support - it’s not for people newer to Linux though, they do expect you to do some research before asking questions etc. but the distro is great. It is however based on arch.

I am aware that they released an update in March (ParrotOS)
How to install it? That’s pretty easy. Are you running into an error or something that’s preventing you from completing it? If so what’s the error? Here is the documentation.
