https://www.amazon.com/Snailax-Cordless-Vibration-Compression-Arthritis/dp/B096VBZV8D there is another model but i use this one for my hands but they seem to have a great selection
Usually it helps to pat the itchy area with a cold damp cloth. this lotion helps as well let me know if that link works
I wish I had an answer for you. This post is exactly what I am struggling to figure out with my rheumatologist!. The tendinitis is everywhere. One thing you can try that helped me was getting a new keyboard and mouse. I had to try 2 different mouse options to get one that helped. I have the tower kind. My hand is sideways. It keeps my wrist straight. The biggest help was the new keyboard. They learning curve is high with it, so if your job requires speed typing it maybe tricky at first. This keyboard let me keep working. I used to get huge bumps and even a systemic reaction to mosquito bites. Of course I'm in the cohort that attracts them also. Topical Benadryl helps. It was probably bites in Hawaii in 2018 that triggered my PsA (had previous psoriasis).
Currently on Taltz which seems to really reduce my reaction to bites.
Anyways, the most convenient and effective repellant I've used is these BugX30 wipes. Easy to pack and carry around for use when needed. (amazon link for example):
I usually run my hands under warm water at the sink in a pinch, but I also have some microwaveable mittens like these that are fantastic for cold, achy days.
If you rebenchmark your body to healthy parameters then you will have a much easier life... Think proper breathing, hydration, deep sleep, etc. Try this (should be free on kindle) : https://www.amazon.com/Weight-Loss-Natural-Almost-Method-ebook/dp/B08YY24QDM/
This is the one we use recommended by a nutritionist:
So I find this post very interesting. For years I’ve been dealing with similar pain. It’s not actually the tailbone but it’s ischial bursitis. I can’t sit on a non padded chair for longer than a few min or the pain starts. Sit too long and it lasts for days. Anyway if you decide to try cycling this seat is the best, I can ride for hours at a time with no pain at all.

I suspect I have Sjogren’s from the horrible dry eyes and mouth I have
For my mouth I use Therabreath dry mouth rinse and Xylimelts
I also use a bite guard at night because it helps make saliva along with all the other stuff I do. When the bite guard is in my mouth I stick the Xylimelts onto my gums instead of my molars
I just ordered these beauties:

Very excited to get out and walk a few (slow) miles!
I have an inflatable neck pillow. It helps keep your neck from aching in cheap airplane seats with minimal support. When deflated it folds up easily in your bag. I found some on Amazon that don’t do that to me and I see a noticeable difference in pain reduction after I take them.

Done that with compression-type supports, but most recently I invested in these with the most recent pain cycle.
$150 between the two. Waiting for them to arrive here (we have to import). I hope they help.

It’s a deeper heat that penetrates your bones differently. I use to pay for these treatments at a spa. For PSA it’s a great option to have. Cryo therapy helps shrink inflammation
They seem a bit expensive if their one point is that they’re a slip-on shoe. There are much more inexpensive options such as my personal favorite pair of Skechers
I read Herbert Benson's book, The Relaxation Response and then started practicing the meditation.
Here is a video of him teaching it.
It's worthwhile reading the book to see they why's of doing it.
I then become a certified hypnotist and now teach people various techniques to generate the relaxation response.
Humira is one of the older biologics.
https://www.webmd.com/rheumatoid-arthritis/how-biologics-work
They act in a similar way in PsA - supposed to reduce inflammation. The trick is to find the one that works for you.
Humira is expensive (like blood curdlingly so) but in Australia if one jumps through the hoops required by Medicare it costs the same as a standard prescription. If you are elsewhere you'd have to discuss with your rheumy and health fund how it can be sought

salicylic acid products are the only thing that work on my eyelid and facial psoriasis
I use salicylic acid pads daily after I was to keep the psoriasis at bay
and if a patch breaks through I use a salicylic acid lotion (2% is highest otc concentration in the US)

Good Luck!
Hi newcode, the Android version of the Psorcast study is still going to take some time to develop, but in the meantime, I really respect the work from the folks over at Inspire that have an Android and iPhone app for tracking skin conditions over time.
Oh, I had this for the first time a couple of weeks ago -- It was absolute torture. I bought one of these to help deal with it, but ultimately it was prednisone that ended up kicking it. I'm so sorry that you're experiencing this, too. It somehow seems less bearable when it's your face.

I had the hardest time figuring this out too. This is what has been the most comfortable for me.
Omg yes. Skechers ice angels. I got a pair of pink ones on Amazon. I have another pair as backup that have a little harder of a soul from qvc. They are so comfy. Don’t be fooled with them not coming up all the way in the back. They are very secure. They have all different colors. Don’t know if your a male or female bur these are for a female.

I personally take this really great form of folic acid L-Methylfolate which is much better absorbed.
I take one of these daily, including my MTX day.
It's what I was going to suggest but it really depends on what the computer-based job is, I simply couldn't do it in my role as I spend most of it writing computer code.
But for general work it can work well.
I'd also suggest you look at things like RSI mouse and keyboards. A few people I work with use mice that are on it's side and they have really helped with their various issues

Haha.. goes well with 500 pages books of available shortcuts :)) I was keeping in mind this one, but looks like there maybe other makers :))

Same here with height. What I noticed if I out chair at proper height, my table is getting too tall for my arms :( I got foot rest under the deck to tackle my legs, instead of lowering the chair
That’s the last one I got and like it

I'm taking this which is a very high quality folic acid. It's very important when on MTX.
Where is your pain the most unbearable?
My short-term pain management:
Back and neck pain - Acupressure mats
Ankle Pain - Cold Therapy Socks
General joint pain - -
This is the one that I use, and I like it quite a bit. but they're all pretty similar, from what I remember of my own research. I wanted one with multiple pad sizes and the option to have 1 or 2 running at the same time.
I'm sorry you're going through such a shite time of it. I'm a yank who moved to Ireland several years ago. It's a tough place to live when you have this disease for sure because the weather is so unstable. And the culture really stresses being tough and not complaining, so it's hard to have someone to talk to about the pain.
I used to have magic dislocating knees too; just one twisting movement and my patellas would pop out. Hurts like hell! I ended up having surgeries for it, which were also painful. It took a lot of PT to recover from them, but I haven't had a dislocation in years. Such a relief!
If you need crutches that don't hurt your hands, these might be a good option for you. They spread the weight along your forearms instead of your hands. They look weird, but people like them.
Finally, do you have a decent relationship with your GP and Rheumo? Can you talk to them about your mental state? Maybe they can refer you to a therapist and/or suggest some meds that will help? Because your despair is probably making your pain worse. It's a pity cannabis is illegal here, as it makes it easier to tolerate this horrible disease.
Feel free to pm me if you want to chat.
I recommend reading this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0713S37RC/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1
(The Keystone Approach: Healing Arthritis and Psoriasis by Restoring the Microbiome by Rebecca Fett)
I didn't find strength to change my diet yet, but the author write great stuff in this book. Every paragraph is supported by references to research. I checked several references and confirmed what she writes.
I use a wedge pillow like this works for back pain as well.
This has saved me—I use it every morning when I get up.
First of all, you're a really good sister. She is lucky to have you. Second, for me personally, I like ice as opposed to heat and I got a good recommendation for a professional ice pack from my PT. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00851X3GO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That being said I know Amazon is prioritizing "necessary" items right now so I have no idea how shipping will work at the moment. Good luck!
Oh also, I forgot to note the mouse I like, they have these with a pistol grip from J-Tech so you don't have to rotate your hand flat:
https://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Endurance-Adjustable-Sensitivity/dp/B00TJ56XD0
There are a few other pistol grips out there, I'd highly recommend any of them over a regular mouse - for everyone really, not just those of us with joint problems.
