Equator is a virtual instrument and not a DAW (digital audio workstation). Without a DAW you can play it in the standalone app but I don't think you can record anything. To record you'll need a DAW, you should have received a license for one with your block, for me this was Tracktion Waveform. With this software you will be able to record and edit music, using the Equator plugin, and whatever other sounds your software comes with, and if you have an audio interface, record your guitar into the software.
Waveform DAW comes free with ROLI products and is fully MPE integrated.
It’s now free with every Lightpad Block, Seaboard Block, Seaboard RISE, and Seaboard GRAND.
Just dropping an anchor here so I won't forget...
I bought 4 batteries, 3 have arrived.
*** All of the batteries I purchased have 3 wires with a JST-PH (3 wire) connector.
I bought 3 of this kind for the Lightpad Blocks: Link
3 of my lightpads have misbehaving batteries from 2016. I removed the worst one and have installed the EBL in its place. It does power up the lightpad and is charging now and I'll let you know how it goes. According to Roli Dashboard, it arrived with a 48% charge. Now, about 15 minutes charging from a PC USB port, it's up to 54%, so that's good. Normal behavior, I'd say. The battery display on the device also appears to be correct, both on the button and on the playing surface....It started with a yellow battery with a half-charge and a blinking pip, and now it's a green battery with a higher blinking pip. So far, this is normal behavior.

I bought 1 of this kind for a Lightpad Touch that is just starting to go bad: Link
This one will arrive tomorrow. I will probably install it in the controller (Lightpad Touch) with the worst battery behavior and test it to make sure that it works and will accept and hold a charge. The original battery in that device only charges up to 75% and takes a month of Sundays to get that far. In my experience, a battery behaving like this is beyond its "use by" date.

I will update with my experiences.
Actually looking for an alternative to the Lumi Snapcase. The closes I found is this: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B09KR4JCFM Lenght should do but height does not seem like it.
If someone knows of a better option, it would be great
I have two of this stands. and are super sturdy, they wil just not move at all (I have the older versions without wheels). The thing is that they are more for keeping in your studio or at home. . . . not very portable.
I do have an audio interface; would I be able to use a midi controller like this one to plug in a sustain pedal into a midi input into my interface instead of hooking it up to a separate keyboard? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002GH8IE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_NWSAC08PDWAW7T7BY0NM

the older version of the block is on sale on amazon and i think it includes the studio player, so you save 20 bucks and get a physical cube to play with brudda
It requires iOS 9.3 which isn't that recent and it's compatible with devices all the way back to the iPhone 5S. There is also an android version aswell but I've heard it isn't quite as good as the iOS version.
Yeah this one is really good (its also the same price as the seaboard block). You can still plug it into your computer as well and use the midi functionality just like the block. (Made sure to select the hammer action keys option - they're much better) Amazon Alesis Recital 88-Key keyboard
