Had the same exact issue! I can almost guarantee that it’s a ground issue if it’s intermittent like you’re saying. Within each headlight assembly there is actually a small wiring harness. The connectors on these mini wiring harnesses tend to go bad and will create grounding issues. Take your headlight off the truck but do not disconnect the light electronically. Turn on your headlights and fiddle around with each connector... chances are that you’ll see your headlight comes on when moved a certain way. If so, most likely a bad ground due to the connector. Additionally, another way to test for bad grounds is to manually, with a jumper wire, connect the lights to a known working ground. I only recommend this if you know what you’re doing, I’m sure there are YouTube videos on it. In any case, if you find that it is the small wiring harness at fault, here’s a link to where you can order the OEM replacement part.

I think your issue might be the cooler/filter housing..
(If you buy that, read the review about the gaskets)
When I replaced mine the first time, I screwed it down until the o-ring was contacting top and bottom then gave about 1-1.5 turns. It was tight and you could still see a small gap. The leak stopped immediately. I checked it with a UV reactive additive.
My problem is that when I go get my oil changed, the workers over-tighten it and crack the cap. They’ll probably end up breaking my housing too. I’m just going to tell them hang tighten only and carry a tool in the truck.
Thanks!
Here it the link. It's on Amazon.
Should you end up with one here is a quick tip. Put it together like a regular tent on the ground then pull it into the back of the truck and strap it in. Much easier that way. Overall it seems to be holding up well, I've used it 3x now. Best of luck.

What are you looking for, actual replacements or clip ons?
These work pretty well and fit my '17 for the limited times I do tow. My boat is left at the yacht club during the in-season so it's just splashing for six months.
I know these aren’t “tow mirrors” but these have helped immensely using the stock mirrors and towing/blind spots

New headlights.
This will make a big difference in appearance and a huge difference in functionality.
If you don’t “have to have” the power folding mirrors they will only run you $214 for the ones I have on mine. Here is the link to the exact ones I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6KS1SF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_S28BPFFNH61GABCCAP9P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Yes! It’s an auto vent shade brand. It is ok. It’s smoked and kinda grey in color. I wish it was black, but it does it’s job and that’s what really matters! deflector
